Amazing stuff Pete, shame the book never came out, so much info here that will be lost if you do not do something about it
How about stuffing it into the articles forum ?
Even better print it out and I'll buy a copy of the complete thing, totally invaluable info as far as I am concerned.

Totally record/cd unrelated but ebay related.
Beware the paypal payment guys and it can bite you seriously in the butt. I sent two expensive fishing rods to a guy, valued at £200. Courier delivery, insured up to £500.
Somewhere along the delivery route one rod was taken out, the guy reverses the paypal via Ebay dispute and I am left with a £22 courier bill and a £100 rod missing. I also had to pay for courier delivery of the one rod back to me another £15.
The customer is perfectly within his rights to dispute and get his money back as the sale was for two rods, the courier company were useless, saying that I had to prove to them that one was not delivered ! Long story but I gave up after a month of trying to get compensation from the insuranced payment.
Same could happen to records guys, imagine a parcel being opened and an expensive record taken out and the parcel sealed back up and delivered, only takes one person at the mail sorting office to know what to look for and hey presto you are trying to prove it was stolen.
Just beware,
Nick
In my avid collecting days I found a big shop in the US, as I walked in the door the owner was about to leave for a 2 week vacation, having found out he had some soul stuff I begged him to let me have a look at what else he had. He said he did not have time and the basement went back a block and was filled with boxes of vinyl. He instructed one of his shop assistants to go down to the basement and bring up 6 boxes and that would have to do, he went off on his hols and up came 6 boxes from the basement.
One box was full of Supremes, ''He's all I got'', one was full of Bobby Taylor ''Blessed'' the other 4 contained some Ric-Tic a copy of 'Cant stop looking', Golden World best was 'Heart trouble'and 70's stuff, I took a dozen Supremes and BT and a few others, no matter what I did I could not get the guy in the shop to bring me any more up from the basement. I was working out there and left the US next day !
This was around 10 years ago, have rang the guy since and asked if he would service a wants list and the answer was always NO, come over and have a look ! Never did though ,,,,
The stuff may still be out there LOL !
Thanks guys for all the replies, what blinding tune for a tenner.
Have always lurked on this site without posting but what a mistake ! You guys are massively helpful, been off the scene for too many years now but still love this music of ours.
Does anyone have any recommendations for similar 70s/80's sounds ?
Many Thanks,
Nick
Talking LP's anyone know of the value of EON and OC Smith 'At home' lp's ? have them somewhere and would sell if anyone interested.
Anyone know the track by Kiki Dee ''Holding me too tight', 70,s track ,,,,, have that somewhere as well,
Some favs are Dusty's 'If it dont work out', Maxine Brown 'Give me a reason', Spellbinders 'Baby I miss you' and 'Thats the way you make me feel' from the 'Magic of' lp.
