  1. I think she only had three releases on Motown "Forget About Me" / "Devil In His Heart" (1963) "My Smile Is Just a Frown Turned Upside Down" / " I'll Come running"(1964) "When Someone's Good to You" / "My Heart" (1964) I think "i'll come running" is the best of the bunch
  2. CD about 28 tracks and I've got about that many LP's but I'll give it a go, count me in.
  3. Usually, the co-ordinating person * (you) sets a cut off for numbers (10?) and participation time (sunday 8pm?) then eveyone involved PMs thier address to * who then PMs all the addressess to those involved, who then mail a CD. (About 60 -70% come up with the goods.)
  4. It's not that rare or difficult, but might take a bit of rooting around to find one. I don't speculate on prices anymore because I'm alway wrong, but if I was to £30 - £50 range?
  5. Whispering Shadow - Stop The World - MR "D's" Records Stop the world - Whispering Shadows - 10539 refosoul
  6. You been on the cooking sherry again? It's Mr Trouble who was looking for one not me, but I don't think Carl Fortnum would part with it.
  7. PEOPLE - ellipsis - briarmeade Just in case anyone is wondering what the fuss is about. Quite a jolly tune, but I don't think it's worth £21.71p a second. How long's it been known & played for?
  8. Motown have released proper disks for karaoke machines, backing tracks, lyrics on screen etc.
  9. Yes. and there's a version by Smokey on a MFP L.P. too, don't know when exactly it was recorded, but it's crap.
  10. Owt by Phil SPECTRE?
  11. Tamiko Jones - I'm Spellbound
  12. So have I, legit releases weren't they?
  13. Thanks, but unfortunatley I can't get his ra files to stream for me, for some reason.
  14. Anyone got a sound file they can put up for me please. Ages ago I borrowed a friend's collection to tape and ended up recording the other side because it sounded the better of the two, so I don't think it's to me taste, but still interested to hear it.
  15. I know a DJ who used to get his cover up names from real people and then add '& the xxxxx's' to it, he pulled a couple of covered up records out of his play box and said 'that's the wife's hairdresser's husband and this one is a butcher shop owner from Bakewell'!
  16. Four Sights - Love is a hurting game that I can't win - Shy Soul
  17. Many years ago I bought the white label test press of it off Adam (I think or it might have been Pat Brady) and all that was hand-written on it was 'Gypsy' & 'cuz it's you girl'; Adam alway used to introduce it as Gypsy The group Gypsy turned into the James Walsh Gypsy Band in the 70's - I googled the name a few months ago and found a web site dedicated to the band, might still be there.
  18. If anyone's buying the 7", get a UK issue as it's on 'bomb-proof' vinyl. Fortunatley neither the US or UK copies have picture sleeves!
  19. 'Soul Spectrum II' released in the UK 1999
  20. It's Group 5 Records Inc. The other side is "Let Me Love Yuh" whci used to be the side played more until Keb & co started playing I'm In Debt To You. The 7" are white demos and orange issues; seen for sale between £200 & £300. However you can get it on a legit reissue compilation CD and on vinyl L.P. too
