  1. my love for you - marvine gaye - motown 15167 refosoul
  2. Gavin there are two lp only threads in 'look at you box' this week, Tuesday's is 60's only, Thursday's 70's only; feel free to add to these too.
  3. Could I ask everyone to use the "new clip" feature for uploading mp3s to threads. It does work better both for site, and members, and with the amount of clips posted recently , makes them all easier to find and listen to plus there's less chance of things getting swamped. Its just a case of clicking the "new clip" link, you should see it at the bottom of every thread You can have a practise go in the 'a forum for testing' part of the site, if you are unsure
  4. 'Tamla Motown Connoisseurs Vol 2', I think.
  5. Same as the single, so it's the real deal. Maybe a one of, unless anyone's actually seen one with a proper Park Way label?
  6. No, I don't think so now because the 'new clip' facility automatically re-encodes them to a smaller size and more site-friendly encoding rate.
  7. Get them into mp3 format on your hard drive. Click on the 'new clip' icon at the bottom of the thread Fill in the artist title & label details 'choose' the appropriate mp3 from your hard drive click on the 'upload' button and off you go
  8. Is it a proper label or just a white label with test press writen / stamped on it? Is there anything on the other side? Maybe someone has just taken the track from the LP and pressed some up? Having said that 'Candy' by the Softones was released on a 7", but as the B side to 'Don't Listen To Your Friends' which is not on the Softone & first class LP youv seen. It's 3:18 on the single & 6:08 on the LP.
  9. Sent. You can alway get a legit re-issue. The b side is the intrumental.
  10. It's the file, for some reason there's a problem with my mp3 if the track is in stereo. I'm looking into it and when resolved repost.
  11. running back - charles mintz - uplook 15106 refosoul
  12. let love live - velvs - 15094 refosoul Friday night at this time, he must be p*ssed. Sorry I’m not. This is the finest piece of music ever recorded, shame it never made it to vinyl. I think Norma and Bertha had left (1964) before it was recorded (1966) Never too late for me to try to brighten my lonely day To frighten my clouds away, ooh if the right words you will only say Baby show a little spark of love And it wouldn't be so dark above Inside me burns a flame Ah I can't believe it burns in vain Cause, what goes around, you know it really might come right back around And my love you might return If I let this torch I hold for you just burn I'm gonna let love live a little bit longer Let the torch burn a little bit stronger Let it live, let it burn Let it live, let it burn No baby, it's never too late to make you see Darling you belong right here with me And one day, that's where you're gonna be So I'll hold on so patiently Although you said we're all through I'm gonna carry this torch for you Sweetie pie, there's just no doubt No, I don't wanna put the fire out Cause, what goes around, you know it really might come right back around And my love you might return If I let this torch I hold for you just burn I'm gonna let love live a little bit longer Let the torch burn, a little bit stronger Let love live, a little bit longer Ain’t gonna ever put the fire out Gonna let love live ah just a little bit longer And I’m gonna let the torch just burn a bit stronger
  13. (It's got to be) Now or never - little dooley - red ruby & northern bay 15083 refosoul Refosoul Rare and Northern Soul Clip library Cheap on both labels.
  14. Wasn't that Geater - Breath Taking Girl?
  15. Another bit of the jig-saw? https://www.casablancamediapublishing.com/s...W+CHERRIES.html
  16. No. Neil Sedaka's real name is Soul Sam. Check out their 'syrups' and you'll find they're the same person.
  17. "Alfie Davison remix..................twelver" (My favorite intro ever, Martin Barnfather circa 1983)
  18. I've got the Jobell on a wierd 12" with Zerba- 'Closer To The Feeling' - Warwick, on the other side; what's that all about? The labels got "copyright: 1976" on both sides. The Jobell is a 'special disco version' @ 4:56, yet the 'disco side' of the JAN 7" is 5:19.
  19. I wouldn't take the lack of the blacking out to make it a certain original. A well known prolific booter of the 70's, pressing up in the US at the time, often just left the boots over there when poeple over here didn't come up with the money for some or all of them. Some of these will have come out of the woodwork recently and found their way to ebay etc as originals, I'm sure.
  20. I don't think they were imported in quanty at the time (early 80's), I seem to remember an ad in BE and buying it directly from the label owner. Anyone else buy one direct?
  21. Yes. The blue label is to distinguish the 'stereo' side on Atlantic demos from this time.
  22. I've never seen the Whirlwind 12", but I do have a Roulette 12" of Four Below Zero - 'My Baby's got E.S.P' c/w Gentlemen & their Lady - 'Like Her' from 1976 Also, from 1976 a promo Buddah 12" of Sins of Satan - 'Dance & Free you Mind' Marboo is 1974
  23. 7mm run out, but no blacking out of promo info. Always thought it was a boot, but it does compare well with a Danny Monday promo with regard to vinyl and paper of label etc.
