  2. Thanks for confirming, tought it was. But some of RS c/u were a bit long winded e.g. Nuron was Lamarr Thomas & the Chains That Bind - All Of My Life Waiting for You, outside the chinese take away on the Picadilly road, in the pi**ing rain, in that by the time it been introduced with a few other bits of banter, they were half over!
  3. I'm sure it was BJT, but you right about the title. RS & Poke often seemed  to use the correct title but with one of the words changed to something that was evidently not in the tit e, to sort of tell you that it was a cover up.
  4. Big Joe Turner - That's the kind of man I am
  5. Dee Dee Gartrell = Ernestine Eady
  6. Same copy - the one with the address scratched out? No, not me.
  7. ""Booootsch, you are heeeeeem" Esmarelda Villa Lobos
  8. Not sure if there are three acetates, I suspect there are only two i.e. Butch's & Rix's; one has just a the string section, whereas the other has both string and horns sections. I seem to remember the version that came on on the UK single and CD's is Rixy's acetate, but it's been 'cut' and 'remastered' so that the verses are in a different order?

  10. PM me your address, I should be able to help out in a week or so.
  11. I was going to post this up in today's sounds thread, and it started me thinking on another topic. Many, many years ago a mate did me a tape of 'rare soul' records and on it was the Andantes - 'Like A Nightmare'. I asked him what it was worth as I like to get one; his reply was "several hundreds of pounds, and that's if you'd ever find anyone willing to sell you a copy!" I quickly came to the conclusion that my chances of ever owning a copy is next to none. Therefore, I was wondering if there a record that you've given up on ever owning, no matter how many time you win the lottery?
  12. I think DOS re-issues have a different track on the B side, but I can't remember by who - it's not 'what a lucky guy I am' by DOS though.
  13. Since There's No Doubt - chris jackson -
  14. I have 18 now. Could anyone who has not sent there's out yet, PM me for a updated address to sent it to. Ta
  15. I'm sure I have read somewhere that it did come out on WD twice, some have the A (plug side) on IGLYALLT & some on MYHSFOLFY
  16. Mine isn't blue either, and the pink A is on the other side ('my hearts so full of love')!
  17. Just the 60's delta numbers, anyone got the rest?
  18. That's another McCoy, Rose Marie
  19. How about Patrice Holloway - Stevie - VIP (AKA Sugar Coated Words), form 1963, I thought there's only a couple of copies of it; one in the US and one in Chesterfield UK. Penned by some bloke called Frank Wilson at Motown, maybe he should have quite song writing and released a single?
  20. Problem with C/U's is that they often seem to be '0ne-of's' until they get uncovered, then someone in the US remembers they got a wardrobe full of the Parliaments - My Rainy Day
  21. Perhaps someone at the National Sound Corporation has a crap, boring New Years eve 1959 with nowt better to do than cut it? The Contours first record on Motown was "Whole Lot Of Woman" in 1959 The Chico Leverette track was released on Tamla in 1960.
  22. There's a Frankford-Wayne studio acetate of it kicking around somewhere - white label, red print & typed title, credits etc.
  23. Canadian copy (on vinyl)
