  1. Derek Do you mean the Appointments - 'I Saw You There' on De-Lite rather them 'Keep On' on Red Coach? I can get you a scan of 'Keep On' on De-Lite, if that's any help. I've tried to email you these.
  2. The boot I've seen is of the demo, and it looks like a poor photocopy - the print is feint and 'fuzzy'
  3. ITAO 2:12 Arranged by Richard Rome Produced by Gamble-Huff
  4. true, Terry Calliers's version is very good, maybe number two, what'd think?
  5. Remember it was booted with the yellow Music Town label too, so don't going paying full wack for one of those. Originals have   ' mastered at Franford & Wayne'  in their run out.  I think it was also booted with a orange or red label too, can anyone confirm?

  7. I think also that Saundra Mallett seemed to become Saundra Edwards when she joined (with the Deadbeats to become) the Elgins

  9. Andy Rix still has the only original acetate of Tommy Knight - Baby my love . Some dubs were cut off it by another retired DJ, so I would imagine it is these that are being played now. Â
  10. lo-fi file until the clip facility is back
  11. I can't hear it, but I'm sure it's that Abtone studio acetate called 'Baby My Love' attributed to Tommy Knight. C/u as Eddie Parker by Gary Spencer / Carl Fortnum.
  12. I'll put the full sound file up when I find it and the clip facilty is back up working
  13. https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=019
  14. I had a list through last thursday with it on at £200
  15. Little Eva did a song called 'keep your hands off my baby'. There is a song called 'you've been talking about me baby' by Ray Terrance which is female (Ray?) vocal with some bloke (Ray?) talking over bits over it
  16. It was booted on a UK single as the Detroit Prophets in the 80's which was a tad faster than the original recording as it came of the casettes that were doing the rounds (I think Eddie Holman's 'wanted' was on the other side)
  17. I was lead to believe William Powell was the epitome of Northern for RS until it booted on that LP whilst still covered as Bobby Jason. Following that he got a bit jadded with things and left northern in favour of other newer pastures.
  18. It was booted on the issue. Only originals have a 'LW' then a 'B.F.' and an 'A' in the run out. (Also the boot's label is a lighter orange and less well defined - but thant's not much uses unless you have both at hand to compare)
  19. Pete Please address your complaint regarding myself to Mike, via a PM may best. You can also comment on site policy (and Me) in the 'Members Feedback' section thanks Simon
  20. I've done a bit of soul policing to the thread and re-opened it as I think it's worth while. Also, suggest you take your 'discussion' of the thread and posting to PMs. ta.
  21. The orange/black/yello label I posted earlier is the original release which Poke was playing covered up in 1982/3. My mate bought it off him for a decent amount and then a few turned up at Soul Bowl with picture sleeves. Blurb about the release on the back of the sleeve attached:
  22. If I remember rightly, Kenni Smith told Andy Rix that the Goldspot version 'Lord what's happened' is the original (check the Goldspot publishing on both records). When it was released on GAR they wanted it to have a more gospel feel to it, hence the different version and a title change. And the reason why people   think the Goldspot one are boots, is that orginally a few copies came i to the UK via Simon Soussan
  23. Eddie Richards and the 3 Way Split, by Poke
