Listening to both, the only difference I can make out is that Embers is a few seconds longer because of a few seconds of clapping at the very end.

  4. It goes on to sing 'pains in my arse over you' (I thought they (Unique Blend) sing 'I hope you love me too')
  5. Try a PM to Dave Moore on here for a high quality scan, I think he has posted his copy before.
  6. The final Parkway single, 'The Twelfth Of Never', was put out with two b sides, 'Here She Comes' and 'Anymore', but the 'Anymore'  label was a cocked up at the printing stage and does say 'Anymore'Â
  7. With an acetate of a released track, do you tend to find the track is the same length, or more often than not always shorter or always longer?

Anyone familiar with the record 'What do It Mean' by BoB Smith & The Boo-Kou's on Boo Kou? Has it been played out? TIA
  10. Ian (BarrowbySoul) If you're not bothered about the format & authenticity of the Otis Clay, you may want to go for the bootleg album. However, the quality is not good and the Otis Clay must have been lifted off a well played 7" as it has cue burn and noise on the track! Although, if you go for a good copy 7" on Echo, it will probably cut up too after a few plays.

  13. Why not buy the LP, it's conveniently the first track, and 52 seconds longer than the 7"
  14. He did get an Ivor Novello award for it! Funny how you don't get many songs with orange as the last word in a line.
  15. He sings 'To be a lawyer, to be a warrior'
  16. If it was reissued like the Bernard Williams, perhaps originals have the curved Harthon logo, and the reissues straight? Scans of BW are in this thread /index.php?showtopic=49020
  17. You love her, she loves you, that’s the way it’s got to be, together When you met you both agreed that your love would always be, together Cuz I know if you take me back They’ll be no worries, cuz I’ll see to that

  19. Anyone know what the first line to Mother Fox - Fallen Into Love is? 'Woke up this morning in my ride'Â Â Â ?
  20. I think you could be right Joan, 'moan' might be a bit to 'risky' for a nice girly love song don't you think? You really need the record to be able to make a good guess of some lyrics and I've only got a tiny mp3 of it, so I think we should go with your interpretation.
  21. 'I feel so good, I just moan like this' then backing girls start 'mmmmmmmmmm' (how you spell it I've no idea)
  22. I've just had a listen to the record and you're right it is 'I got rid of him quick'
  23. "He broke my heart like a popsicle stick But I was smart I could read him quick" popsicle = ice lolly
