  1. I seem to remember they are both on a 'Kyser' label, one yellow, one pink. I was told ages ago that the pink ones are boots and the yellow one are re-issues, and hence the yellow ones play better.
  2. Yes, it was booted twice. I can't remember what the other was, but seem to think it was pink, soul galore?
  3. No, the fat old fart you sold it to has still got it! :-)
  4. I seem to remember it's a plain red label with black text; always thought it was a boot as opposed to a legit re-issue. I think it was issued by the label twice, but not sure which was the original and which the re-issue; One has a light red top and print. LSSTT is all on one line and in capitals and lower case. The matrix stamp ' AUDIO LABS' is on both sides The other is more orange than red at the top and print. LSSTTÂ is all in capitals and split over two lines. 'AUDIO LABS' stamp is only on the 'give me something to go on' Â A side.
  5. Chalky, do you think the Embers came out twice?  Straight of the Act IV record, it does sound different to your clip, but the same as the Mid Town one to me.

  7. Listening to both, the only difference I can make out is that Embers is a few seconds longer because of a few seconds of clapping at the very end.
  8. Buster Pearson Band - Big Funky / Pretty Woman - UK Action 1973 valued at £4 in RC
  9. It goes on to sing 'pains in my arse over you' (I thought they (Unique Blend) sing 'I hope you love me too')
  10. Try a PM to Dave Moore on here for a high quality scan, I think he has posted his copy before.
  11. The final Parkway single, 'The Twelfth Of Never', was put out with two b sides, 'Here She Comes' and 'Anymore', but the 'Anymore'  label was a cocked up at the printing stage and does say 'Anymore'Â
  12. With an acetate of a released track, do you tend to find the track is the same length, or more often than not always shorter or always longer?
  13. Never played because you don't think it fits a dance floor? What genre is it, soul or funk or what?
  14. Anyone familiar with the record 'What do It Mean' by BoB Smith & The Boo-Kou's on Boo Kou? Has it been played out? TIA
  15. Ian (BarrowbySoul) If you're not bothered about the format & authenticity of the Otis Clay, you may want to go for the bootleg album. However, the quality is not good and the Otis Clay must have been lifted off a well played 7" as it has cue burn and noise on the track! Although, if you go for a good copy 7" on Echo, it will probably cut up too after a few plays.

  18. Why not buy the LP, it's conveniently the first track, and 52 seconds longer than the 7"
  19. He did get an Ivor Novello award for it! Funny how you don't get many songs with orange as the last word in a line.
  20. He sings 'To be a lawyer, to be a warrior'
  21. If it was reissued like the Bernard Williams, perhaps originals have the curved Harthon logo, and the reissues straight? Scans of BW are in this thread /index.php?showtopic=49020
