  6. Try Chalky on here, he's got it.
  7. Tommy Is it a John Manship guide? If so, it should exist and they're supposed to be based on actual sales i.e. physically passed through their hands at some time. Perhaps JM can confirm?
  8. No problem, let us know if you ever get a definate answer Â
  9. I don't think there is definative answer, but here is some previous thoughts on the matter: /index.p...;hl=moses+smith
  10. Perhaps the was insufficient demand ever to lead to the booting of the US copy? UK President could have reissued it enough times &  in quantity to meet the demand, before people moved onto the next thing and  demand waned pretty quickly.
  11. That's what I paid for mine and it was only 3 or 4 yeras ago
  12. T'other side is better IMO, but unfortunately you might have to break into a tenner to secure a copy!
  13. One of their earliest recordings around 1962, I think
  14. Checkout last issue (4) of 'There's That Beat' magazine page 25.
  15. Saw it on a list a couple of years ago @ £50.
  16. Ann Sexton - You've been gone too long Found 5 copies on a local market store together in the midst of a load of UK pop singles, thought they must be boots as they were in great condition and cheap. Over a few months gave a couple of copies away and went back to another copies, still got 3 left, but not sure if they are boots or originals. Carl Burnette - Jerk baby jerk I keep buying these bloody things, convinced there's a different mix, issues & demos, but to no avail. Rosetta Johnson – That hurts Sure it was gonna go ‘big’ one day and make me rich by selling the spares, but it never did, just the 4 copies left on the shelf.
  17. Carla was owned by Ollie McLaughlin, named after one of his daughters. Perhaps he revived it for that yellow 1973 release which he was the produer of?
  18. I think it's an earlier studio take as there are no horns section on it, it's a bit sparse, but does have some nice bongos!
  19. Is possible as it’s not exactly a common name, is it? Also, there’s only 15 + years difference between the recordings, so he wouldn’t have that old in 83 would he? I noticed that you have Eryck / Erick spelt differently, perhaps one real and one a ‘stage’ name? Maybe father and son? It was quite common at the time for the first born lad to take his father name; Marvin Gay(e), James Jamerson X 3 Its strange how names crop up. I’ve had an unreleased 60’s track by Kea Williams – Our Love Is dieing , on CD for a few years now, and was playing some 12’s from ’82 the other month, BB&Q – Imagination, written by a certain Kea Williams.
  20. He did have it covered up as Lamar Thomas & The Chains That Bind - All Of My Life Waiting For You, it's was the same version as that posted in this thread.
  21. I pretty sure they did not, but I have seen a dodgy looking French CD comp with the Sir Prize track on it.
