  1. Steve, that's interesting. I was told it came from a reggae dealer from Birmingham and the deal was brokered by Manship! Who's copy of 'Hurting' was it?
  2. Released twice on coloured vinyl, never seen a black vinyl copy does one exist? I think it was supposed to be gold because the label it was on was 'Gold' although it doesn't have the label name on this particular label design (the other does)
  3. Jimmy Ruffin - Chess & UK Polydor
  4. 'Fond' of one and the other married to a sibling
  5. The bloke who he sold it to had it up on ebay mid November. I dont know whether it sold, but you could contact the seller and ask. If it did sell, you could try finding the buyer and temp them with your wedge of cash. I'll dig out the seller's ebay ID, if you want.
  6. What's the title of the track, 'Who is it'?
  7. Think I've been following to many links to Ebay
  8. What 6 bids, 3 from the same person, ending at about £10 plus having to pay ebay, and PeteS his 'finders fee' . Not forgeting the £3 postage from the US to Nottingham, both parties must be well cuffed
  9. Pete Maybe the seller just put the artist / title and northern / modern soul into Google and came up with it on a play list at a do in Nottingham? Saying that, it was played quite a bit at modern nights in the mid 80's and well have been 'big' at Rock City, but I can't remember for sure now.
  10. I uploaded on SS 20 Nov 2007 where the **** did you think AR got it to pass on to you?
  11. I've posted up a few nighter's sound files here : /index.php?showtopic=56305 (including this Cleethorpe one, a while ago)
  12. I thought they were all boots done by a PD of the Bradford area?
  13. The one GS was palying was Micheal Christian - 'If I Can't Have You' - Concept
  14. I did ages ago with a photo of Mr Willingham
  15. It is unreleased Motown, attributed to The Versatiles.
  16. I know someone with one who's selling stuff, if you PM me with an offer I'll pass it on.
  17. So taking it that it is GW, rather than just an unknown artist /acetate attributed to GW, anyone gonna speculated when and where it was recorded, plus what label it was possibly gonna be released on?
  18. Harry Stuck the Spinners instrumental up in the media section
  19. Looks like they may have been; interesting read here from the bass player and song writer Oliver W. Tuthill https://www.olivertuthill.com/Oliver-Tuthil...-highlights.asp
  20. Patrice Holloway is on the CD: This Is Northern Soul! The Motown Sound Volume 1 https://www.discogs.com/release/572974
  21. Makes you wonder how many were pressed up, even on the smallest of labels, in anticiption from feedback from local air plays? Tim Tam - Wait A Minute on Palmer sold 30,000 in the first week of release, and continued to sell well for quite a while!
  22. The stamp is nearly always unreadable because it's so faint and fragmented, but should be on both sides. That label design is almost alway on vinyl, isn't it? A side has, P928A struck through, then P892 A B side P982 then P928 struck through, then the B
  23. A side of SAYBA. Autographed? Looks like it could be 'Love' & 'Helen Shapiro'
  24. Always thought this was a re-issue of the 73 issue, but have no idea about UK stuff
