WHAT YEAR DID FIRST GO TO THE 100 CLUB?
1982, I think, my 6T'S RHYTHM ' N ' SOUL SOCIETY card say's I'm member 2693.Nice picture of Rosalind Ashford, Betty Kelly & Martha on the back too!
Monzas, I doubt it, nobody knows except for Butch, I don't think. That came of a 15 year + old tape which has complete, but bad quality, Diane Lewis, Del Larks on it. Butch must have done it for somebody who duplicated it.
Which Wedding????
The one that's never gonna be ...boo hoo!
Has to be something slow that the oldies will appreciate - my choice would be Jimmy ratcliffe
I picked up a couple of CD's a few years back in the states (on Moonshine) featuring dead early Motortown stuff (59-61)and it had a track called 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' which was previously unreleased - cant remember if it was the Versatiles or Versatones
That was the Versatones
If you were going to do a "test press", just to check, wouldn't it be a good idea to do one of "a shoulder to lean on", you know the record you're intending to 'push' and press up several hundred double-sided white demos for distribution to radio stations etc in a few hour time?
Perhaps you could keep their nickname on the posts, but when you click on it and go in to their profile, there's a fixed field there with their real name - might be a lot of Smiths, Jones and McDougals though!
There's been two issues for sale on Ovenchips in the last year; one with a photo of the group and one with a transposed centre, last month. I also know 3 people with issues, probably bought it of you then. Anyway, here you go Pete, best I can do.
