  1. You can pick up a copy of Little Dooley - It's Got To Be Now Or Never for £5 on either Red Ruby or North Bay; it's got to be the most underated, undervalued, but brilliant record ever.

  3. what clip was it? (I don't own a tele)
  4. Just out of interest, I once met two blokes (brothers) & record dealers in Chicago who grew up in 60's Detroit in their teens. They told me that being from the white community, "race" music was not acceptable and they used to steal soul record from the shops (couldn't be seen buying them) and play them when their parents were out the house!! Also, "My Leading Lady" was a huge seller locally as the blokes in High school bought it for their girlfriends.
  5. Funny that, he told me he had sold them in Japan!
  6. 'true values' Traditions £10 Darrel Banks £5 'todays values' Traditions £40? Darrel Banks £50?
  7. PM Pete S (Pete Smith of west midlands) on here, he was knocking out DVDs, one of which has this on
  8. There's a long list of people looking for that one, which has grown considerably in the last 24hrs!! Make do, like me, with a Grapevine copy (other side of Lester Tipton #138)
  9. Got the Masqueraders to sign a sleeve, and Pat Lewis a record
  10. Roger. irony
  11. £50 quid only, you must be mad! (Just remembered I have one on Chi & one on 20th Cent, hence one spare. Must be worth at least £150) Boleaux!!!
  12. yes, it was 'doctored' by some rotound, wrinkley, little f**ker with no hair who gestation took 38 years, 9 months and 2 weeks to the day exactly! The acetate originally, I believe, was discovered with an other Abtone studio disc of 'Tea House In China Town' by Tommy Knight. Since the vocal sounded almost the same, it was also attributed to Tommy Knight too.
  13. That's because it's really Tommy Knight
  14. Ovenchip has / had one at £70. I would have thought nearer to £50, worht it for the picture of the lass on the cover! What makes it a demo?
  15. Soul Bowl had quite few copies (they were in the set section of the list for quite a while & £8) which were all in perfect contidion. It's only demand that puts it at £350 becasue it is not that rare. Flip it over for a nice soulsound. Funny how it always played second fiddle to Charles Mintz until it got reissued!
  16. How much would the following cost me, presuming they were for 'set sale'? Fred & Turbines - Bernadine - Cenco Eric Mercury - Lonely Girl - SAC Limelighters - Don't Leave Me Baby - Uncle Earl White Jnr - Very Special Girl - Cygnet Flight - Playing Your Games - SGA Motherfox - Fallen Into Love - Shabang Ta.
  17. Perhaps the amount of potential decrease depend on the intrinsic value of the records? Do you think it would have the same effect (% loss) on 'A Family' or 'Warning', as opposed to 'That's The Same Thing' or 'No One To Love'
  18. Is Trigger buying it for a present for Rodney /Dave?
