  2. Many years ago I was sitting on the stage at the 100 Club moaning to Ian Clarke who told me to look on the bright side, there was great music, dancing plus some celebrities pop stars in the building; looking across the dance floor, I spotted Banarama leaning up the wall!

  4. Hi Mike You're right, just didn't want to think you'd get done. Now that you can't download tracks and it's 'streaming', I think you've no problems. Must say, I think the set up is the dog's b's by the way!
  5. Hi Mike Have you checked here www.riaa.com? A woman had to pay the equivalent of £12700 for down-loading and sharing copyrighted stuff. She said she downloaded / shared the tracks and would have bought it later if she had liked it. However, the judge said "a downloaded song kept on the hard disk was viewed as a direct substitute for a purchased copy"! Theoretically, if someone was to send some other memember a copywritten sound file, would SS be the equivelent of Naspter etc? Simon

  9. Ady It's the same as the Kent single. The one with the tambourines is the one I put on a CD for you in Sept 04.
  10. Searling's version, sorry it's a bit wobbly. It's from a tape with Chris Bartley c/u, Dee Dee Gartrell c/u and the Nurons, so must be the take Searling had?
  11. I hope the 'timid sweet thing' does. 'Dance on you made beautiful fool' Neil!
  12. Do you think this is played when there's no DJ? It's the A side of? (Winner gets an After Eight & to do a Mr Creosote impression on the night!)
  13. He hardly pronounces the t so it does sound a bit odd " I had to pick a fight" "so I wouldn't have to see her tonight" "Acted like a smarty" "So she wouldn't suss the Part" "Oh I hope it turns out alright"

  16. Here’s 1:30 of both versions of ‘Baby’, I don’t want to get Mike in trouble by posting up the full mp3 and infringe Kent Records’ copyright. The first, I’m sure, is the much rarer version, only having seen the one copy when Keb & Duncan Morris owned it about 20 years ago, who knows where it is now? The second version (Soul Power 21267) & ‘What’s Your Name’ came out on a Kent CD last year. I don’t what numbers JM refers to and can’t get the track to play so don’t know which version he his auctioning, anyone care to enlighten me?
  17. How much for a complete set?
  18. This is the finest record ever to be made, full stop! The finest record never to be made (pressed) is the Velv's - Let Love Live, followed by Suspicion.
  19. would have thought it was called Lonely Boy, if anything. Where does 'Wayne Harrel' come into it?
  20. I'll post up both, but can't find the label scans to confirm which is which at the moment.
  21. Only ever heard it played out once at the 100 club in 82 or 3, Mr Smith I presumed. Mentioned it to a friend who bought one of Boston's wednesday market for 15p & gave it to me. Never seen one for sale or listed. I'll post up a sound file tomorrow, before getting pis*ed again and finally getting banned from the site.
  22. Pete I have WD on styrene, but the delta number is 64497. There's also P123A scratched in the run out and a very faint 'bell sound' stamp. Other side has delta 64497-x. Both side have the MR stamp. £40-£60 for an issue?
