  1. Finally got a copy after nearly a year from my original thread , , try searching on Google on the title below which will take you to the Rare Philly Sax site for a review of the album and stand out tracks , well worth the hunt Target - On Target 1979 Lp
  2. Great track from a brilliant album and well underplayed , look past " Strange Feeling " and you're onto a winner
  3. Bargain price for a quality track
  4. As an album only collector nowadays I'd say £75 top end , there was a time this would go for double that BUT recession bites and albums drop ! great Lp and practically every track a winner
  5. Was at home in Scotland for the weekend and was talking too a good mate of mine who has given up the ardous trek of 45 hunting ( ONLY TAKEN HIM 30 YRS !! ) and is now dj'ing with albums only , his spots have gone rather well and I was wondering apart from the odd album only slot at wkndrs , occassional soul night , does anybody ONLY play album tracks out in their set set / demand ?? I have dj'd with albums solely in the past and YES it's a pain in the bum but the overall wealth of music at your disposal is outstanding for varities of choice , tempo , dancers , ballads , etc .... ? Let's hear it then ?
  6. Definetly in the class of " Too fast for me " nowadays , always has been !!! , but I still prefer " Sad Goodbye "
  7. I would love to of seen a pic of this group as below is one of my favourite oldies . There were many groups by the name Majestics. They recorded the soul classic "(I Love Her So Much) It Hurts Me" b/w "Girl Of My Dreams" on Linda 121, both songs written by Arthur Robles, produced for Faro Productions and released in the fall of 1965. The same songs (minus the horn intro on "It Hurts Me") had a second release as by David and Ruben on Warner Bros 7316, this time listing production by Eddie Davis. A third release on Rampart in 1969 reused the original Linda stampers. David and Ruben were Art Robles' brothers. Their group was generally known as 'Art's Majestics'. Interestingly, there was another release by the Majestics on Linda 111, "Strange World" / "Everything Is Going to Be All Right" (by Chick Carlton, produced by Bobby Gross), but this is on the blue Linda label, distributed by Scepter, NY in 1963. Supposedly, this was another band entirely, black, not Hispanic.
  8. A record that will forever remind me of Glenrothes YMCA , happy day's indeed , cost me a fiver at the time too
