  5. Ok, is it a better record than Love You Baby ??? Kegsy
  6. I dont think I implied anything about anybody or their particular tastes. I just said I thought I'm Gone was overrated, and totally overplayed I might add. As to why it wasnt massive in the early/mid seventies, even though it was known, I can only assume this is because there were lots of far superior records being played. If you also think that certain DJ's dont ONLY play records due to their rarity rather their quality, then I'm afraid you may be a touch naive. Its always happened. Kegsy

I think the record is average at best, FFS what has it got going for it other than its rarity ?. Its just a big stomping record with little or no lyrical content, sweet FA in terms of melody or production/arrangement.Billy Sha Rea's version is better. There are a 1000 and one records that have been played on the scene that a miles better than it. Kegsy (cant be arsed listing 1001 better records)78664'] Garethx replies Can we have an un-like button? Everything about this post is wrong. There is nothing wrong with the post, it just goes against your particular grain. I genuinely think the record is over rated, along with Bobby Kline,Kurt Harris,,Laura Green (Moonlight Etc),Court Davis and a whole load of others. I'm Gone has been known for donkeys years and IMHO never really got played until standards started to slip. Kegsy

  9. Eddie Parker I'm Gone Well and truly overrated, probably due to rarity. Kegsy
  10. I know here in the US we see the Columbia styrene pressings on promo and stock, I think those are original from 1967/8. The stocks are plain gold. Yes, but is the Demo that much harder to find than the issue. Kegsy
  11. Is there much difference between the issue and thedemo of SPQR 1002 "Just Ask Me/Working For My Baby", when it comes to rarity ?. Cheers Kegsy

  19. Just got a message from a guy in the U.S.A. saying a record I sent him was "shattered" when he received it. I have NEVER had a record broken in the post, I use standard "envelope" mailers with two stiffener boards. I have asked him to returm it. Where do I stand, if it was indeed damaged in the post. Is there any "insurance" via paypal or ebay ?. Who claims ? Me or the buyer ?. Kegsy
