  1. Looks like this is an elusive one so here's more info. Both sides produced by Harold West An Omni-Muse Prod. Both sides executive producers Joseph Davidson & James P. Toschi. That's all there is on the label. Its kinda Mod/Beat type versions of the songs. Kegsy
  2. Yes it is and the flip Loves Gone Bad is a cover of the H-D-H song done by the Elgins & Chris Clarke. Kegsy
  3. It would have to be He Who Picks A Rose on Okeh. It Really Hurts Me Girl didn't come out til 73 Kegsy
  4. Try his other book "An Utterly Impartial History of Britain" its a great laugh. kegsy
  5. Try his other book "An Utterly Impartial History of Britain" its a great laugh. kegsy
  6. The Superiors First I Look At the Purse B/w Loves Gone Bad Auger records White Plains New York Cant find anything on the web except a copyright listing for the release in 1986. Cant see it being the "What would I Do" Superiors although I believe they are from New York. Probably a white or mixed race group by the sound of it. Anybody else know anything about it. Kegsy

The daddy of 'em all in terms of Vietnam songs. Swamp Dogg Sam Stone One of the most powerful records I've ever heard if this doesn't get to you, then you shouldn't be on Soul Source. Kegsy
  10. I've heard that's not all that doesn't work, don't worry old lad its just a sign of age. Kegsy
  11. Hmmm IPSS will this become a "standard" in the record grading stakes ?. Kegsy
  12. What with these and those you put up earlier your DJ play box must be empty Kegsy
  13. Where did Johnny Griffith on Triple B fit into all this. Kegsy
  14. Don't need no woman to help me starve to death.... Can you dig it. There's a thousands other too.
  15. The Teques If I Could is a brilliant tune IMHO. Kegsy
  16. Said Mr Wilson is a member on here, he is university lecturer these days. His book is purely an academic work and is not meant for general consumption. However if Andy did write, a warts and all book, about his experiences on the northern scene back in the day, I can assure you it would be well worth reading. Kegsy
  17. Additional info. Major Lance The Monkey Time issue on Okeh. I have 3 copies ALL have different dead wax markings as follows 1AD and 1AE 1L and 1AA 1J and 1J I reckon its pretty safe to say that the 1A/1B markings on something new to do, have sweet FA to do with A or B side. Kegsy
  18. Just checked a Bobby Sheen Payback demo it has 1A in the dead wax on both sides despite having two different tracks. The Tymes The love that your looking for Columbia Demo 2 different copies. One is same track both sides and plain white labels. One has two different tracks and a blue A on Love that you're looking for side. Both records have 1C in the dead wax on both sides. So the lacquer argument checks out as far as I can see. kegsy
  19. That's made all the theories on here well lacquered !!!. Kegsy
  20. Maybe, as has been said, the initial (local ?) DJs who received it said the flip was the better record. Warners then had it re-done and junked the rest of the first run. Why would Warners have more demos pressed than they were going to send out ?. Surely they would have sent them all out, unless they distributed locally first. Kegsy
  21. Was thinking the same, never seen a white one. I've had several Demos all pink and marked as Promos. kegsy
  22. I give up on this as of now. its to much for a simple Yorkshire lad. Kegsy
  23. o Sorry couldn't resist after your topic title. Kegsy
  24. Ok fair enough but that does not prove that SNTD was not also promoted as the A side either earlier or later, which would make both demos original copies. I reckon that's the case and the only boots are the brown vinyl ones. These images particularly the date stamped demo may support this. https://www.google.co...iw=1366&bih=651 Sixth row down second image. Why would anyone date stamp a pressing with the original release date ? Kegsy
