  4. Dear BBC Who was it in your vast bloated empire that thought last nights culture show was a good idea, What's to celebrate about the opening of Wigan Casino ? As a former members of the Drug Squad we can tell you there was nothing at all to celebrate "back in the day". Let us tell you what really happened. Hundreds of little toe rags from all over the country would descend on Wigan. They would burglarise all the chemist shops within a thirty mile radius before going to the all nighter. They would then abandon stolen cars all over Wigan before proceeding to nick another car for the journey home. We see no cause for celebration the thieving little bleeders should have been birched !!. Yours Sincerely Messer's Cream & Turner (ex Manchester Drug Squad) P.S. I'm surprised you didn't add insult to injury by featuring that B*stard Kegsy
  5. The dance styles were there long before any of the "Kung Fu" stuff was even thought of, so how that connection was made is beyond me. Also a born in 1961 "original" I think not !. Thought the soundtrack was pretty representative, funny how pictures from back then and Tobi Legend playing still gets you up the back of the neck. Pity he played the wrong version of Testify too, Johnnie Taylor's version for me every time. I'd give it 3/4 because of the emphasis on the music being the thing. Anybody else catch the photo of Andy Simpson, think he was in Levine's record room. Kegsy
  6. It was Testify pity he didn't play the much better version by Johnnie Taylor. Kegsy
  7. Julian has issues with drugs on the scene, therefore he starts all his sets with the disclaimer On Viagra Only, it helps him stay up all night !. kegsy
  8. Good God its like a picture of Europe's most wanted. Especially that dodgy looking bugger with his thumbs up sign. Kegsy

  15. I am pleased to announce the setting up of my latest commercial venture. Original Vinyl Only Investigative Detective Services Or OVOIDS for short. I will be recruiting investigators in all parts of the country to ensure that venues stick to their stated policy. OVOIDS employees will be paid by promoters and will gain free entry and drinks at any attended venues. Promoters who do not subscribe to OVOIDS' or god forbid do not stick to their stated policy will have their anoraks confiscated. Kegsy

  21. The thing was if you looked at the press at the time it was ALL about Wigan, then we had the influx. That's why most of the pre Wigan (Torch, Cats.) people decamped and went to Cleethorpes Etc. which then became the true home the underground scene as we knew and loved it. Before anybody starts I'm not saying a lot of people, who came with the tourists, didn't go on to be an integral and respected part of the scene as many did. Kegsy
  22. I have heard it played out probably once, thank god it was never aired enough times to be "PLAYED OUT" in the overplayed oldies sense. kegsy
  23. Used to have this on Mystic Insight label. Never knew it came out on another. kegsy
  24. Crass stupidity or just a collection chancing b*stards. Everyone knows that Ebay always sides with the buyer in a dispute and the sellers get nowhere. What they fail to realise is that without any sellers there will be no buyers. I wont be selling on there again. Kegsy
