  1. Its been known ever since the LP came out, 73/74 ?.
  2. Am I the only one who thinks Shake Her Loose is a far superior record ?
  3. The Cats Dark, Confusing layout, hot, drippy ceilings, loads of gear, great sounds. Actually the epitome of a top nighter venue. Not to mention the Wolverhampton drug squad who were always a pain in the arse.
  4. PM'd you on Jnr Walker
  5. How come a price request, suddenly turns into an "I can piss further up the bog wall" contest.
  6. Robb the King issue is a UK label legitimate release. Its has nothing to do with the U.S. label.
  7. Use the Paypal route mate. They will give you your money back no worries.
  8. Jackie Lee Darkest days Earl Jackson
  9. After being denied gear for 3 months, and gettng properly fed, by being a guest of Her Majesty, I couldn't even get into my 70's clothes in the 70's.
  10. Post of the year, (so far).
  11. I got it off a private seller not E-bay etc.
  12. There is another version of Make My Love A Hurting Thing on Bang Bang, I remember getting very excited about it when I saw it for sale on the net yonks ago. When it arrived from the States I put it on the deck with bated breath, it turned out to be a God awful Country and Western version, I was well p*ssed off.
  13. Julian Bentley knows exactly how you feel
  14. 375 then 400 keep going
  15. Well. at least he's not over charging on the postage
  16. Nathan Williams on Lime stone mint copy off the net for $5. Sold it for 60 quid, its wasn't very well known then, the guy who bought it is on here, he knows who he is.
  17. Or this sort of jazzy version
  18. I have an issue, which funnily enough, sounds just like the Demo.
  19. He's probably got the rights to the upcoming T Shirt.
  20. Taking apologies for what ?. Claiming a record was first played in 2007 when it was played over 30 years earlier ?.
  21. This thread just about sums up the who played what first argument. There are boatloads of sounds that were reputedly discover/first played in the 80's/90's that were actually played in the early/mid seventies. Stevens & Foster on Jerri anyone ?. First played at the Mecca shortly after it was released, but you can bet most think some enterprising 'modern room' DJ.discovered it in the last 10 years.
  22. As Pete S said the record was known in the Torch days and did get a few spins back then. It never really took off and has been played on and off all over the place ever since. I've had it for over forty years, well I did have until somebody offered me 80 quid for it
  23. There was a rumour at the time it also came out in Ireland as a 45. Never saw one tho.
