  1. Sorry I didnt mean to infer the photo was taken from the Demon release cover, I meant that the photos on both covers seem to be from the same photo session. The make-up she is wearing and the lighting seem very similar.
  2. Would you say the photo on the Soul Brother release was taken at the same time as, or cropped from the Photos that were used on the Demon release ?, they look pretty similar to these eyes. Also the Demon release label states clearly that the album was leased from Broadway productions NOT Stax/Truth/Fantasy maybe Fantasy only bought the rights to previously issued Stax product ? Where/how did Soul Brother get the rights to release it ? if Demon had already done so in the UK ?, this may be a daft question but I'm not an expert on copyright etc. Just another small point, David Johnson in the sleeve notes shown earlier explicitly states it was never released, I think he would have known.
  3. Given the title of this thread, it would be nice if somebody could actually confirm one way or the other if it ever came out in the 70's. I won't be convinced until I actually see a copy regardless of what anybody says !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
  4. Y'all beat me to it, dreadful racket.
  5. The 45cat link actually says there are 2 versions on HBR one of which is the St. Clair and UK Pye version, and the other seems to only be on HBR. Whats the chances of it being repressed for the northern scene later and them using a different master tape/mix.
  6. Which version was the one on UK Pye International. ?
  7. Isn't this just the flip of Elsie Strong ????????
  8. Makes sense given that Eden and Galax are only a spit from each other. I suppose it depends on how much research labels did when sending out promo copies, or did some just send to every radio station regardless of format ?.
  9. Over $1000 and it hasn't even finished yet, surely this can't be worth anywhere near this amount, its not even mint (vg). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Northern-Soul-45-TRENDS-Thanks-For-A-Little-Lovin-ABC-HEAR-/351617950907?hash=item51de1024bb:g:s4wAAOSwK7FWhav4
  10. Here you go, although there does not seem tobe much out there/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WBOB
  11. I don't think discussing should have a capital
  12. Just had a complaint from a buyer that the record I sold him had a drill/BB hole. No complaint re condition M- etc. I don't know about others but I never mention drill/BB hole when grading as they are present probably 50% of the time. I've never really considered them as an issue when it comes to grading a record. What does the panel think ?
  13. Merry Xmas and all the best to the lovely Mrs B, oh and to you too.
  14. Well and truly under played tune, I've been trying to get people to play this for donkeys yonks. As for the price I've knocked 'em out for £40 regularly, its not that easy in mint.. Merry Xmas Ivor and everybody else.
  15. I got the album so I wasn't really looking for the 45's at the time it was played.
  16. Just read something that states Soul Improvisations; Part 1 came out on BDA 297 as the flipside but only on the ISSUES. Part 2 came out on BDA 310 as the flip side but only on the ISSUES. In all the years I've been on the scene, I have never seen either of these two records as ISSUE copies therefore never seen part 1 or 2 on a 45 except the UK issue. Anybody ever seen the issues, if so how rare are they ?. I remember Ian playing it at the Mecca but was it from the album or on a 45.
  17. Wot no Paula Parfitt ???????????????????
  18. Pm'd you on Sunday.

  20. He had two out on Loma, might be an idea to say which one you want.
  21. Get it on the Purple/Plum label and then you know for sure its an original, like mine .
  22. I preferred his previous outing on E-by-gum Nubdy Cud Luv Thee moueer
  23. We will have northern soul tribute nights next, where the DJ's pretend to be the real thing using cheap imitation props and the assembled multitudes dress up in nostalgic costumes and try to behave like teenagers..... oh hang on a minute
