Johnny Jay & The Gangbusters - You Get Your Kicks
Yes, pretty sure it was, not sure what colour the label was though.

Preston Foster
That sounds like a perfect candidate for some of the rare & underplayed nights, the more underplayed the better IMHO.

I'm Still Waiting-Patti Labelle And The Bluebells
Always liked Trusting In You and think it should be played out more.

Spot the sample
At least you managed to realise I wasn't on about the sort of sample people have to take to the doctors on a regular basis.

Spot the sample
I sincerely hope so, it's always worth bringing the "we invented sex, drugs and rock n roll" yoof back to reality.

Spot the sample
When I pulled the young sprog, who keeps playing it, and played him the original on my phone and told him it was from 1974, his face was a picture !!!!!.

Spot the sample
That's as maybe, but what's the tune in question ?, come on its not that difficult.

Spot the sample
I don't think this has been mentioned before, this little ditty keeps getting played on the pub jukebox. No prizes for guessing which track has been sampled for the backing.

DODGER R.I.P (From Grantham/ Sheffield)
As Richie says, another sad passing, and as Fred says another character from the scene makes an all too early exit. RIP Dodger, we had our differences, but we were just kids at the time and didn't know any better.

Is It Ok To Talk About Jazz Here?
I would have thought that a large percentage of the studio musicians, on most of the labels releasing soul stuff, were actually jazz musicians first and foremost, not just the Motown stable. Its always been obvious to me that the "Motown" sound owes much to big band jazz.

Is It Ok To Talk About Jazz Here?
I much prefer the stuff his brother Idris did.

Favorite Song From-The Moments
I always liked this, its the one people always forget when talking about the Moments.

Willie Tee - One More Chance'
I think she lives in New York these days.

Willie Tee - One More Chance'
I reckon its a good bet that Volt had master tapes with several takes/mixes of the backing track, its probably one of those, plus with multi track recording its quite easy to remove the vocals/backing and bring up/tone down certain instruments etc.

Comedy Sale Of The Day
Surely the guy has screwed up with a UK boot of a Grapevine 45, ffs why do that ?

Should they be considered Northern soul Artist
As has already been said, some of us on here are interested in your point of view. However your rather obtuse attitude is challenging my attention span, it would be helpful if you could point us further in the right direction, rather than arguing the toss.

Current buying from the US
Do you seriously think the weather makes any difference, this is Bradford we are talking about. Have a good time, love to Neet.

Current buying from the US
Good God old boy, at your aged you shouldn't be worrying about anything remotely Brazilian.

I'm looking for this musical work...Wynonie Harris?
Here's a bit more from the same venue, scroll down to video, the standard is a touch better than the Cleethorpes DJ's IMHO. https://www.odarcade.com/about/

Fantastic Four - Auction 45 ?
I actually prefer their Westbound 45 I Got To Have Your Love to most of their other output.
