  1. Take a Moment is on the lp, the other track isn't.
  2. Click the link below, the latest additions will be shown first. Thanks for looking.
  3. Love that choon also Yvonne Fair Walk Out That Door If You Wanna. " I'm gonna drop a dime on a good friend of mine, tell him I'm free come on and get me" Top lyrics.
  4. If you can get 200 into a top 10 you're in the wrong job mate, you should be leading the brexit negotiations .
  5. I hope the show has an OVO only policy.
  6. All well and good mate but if its the B&C one it aint got Harlem Shuffle on it.
  7. Which is precisely why I always ask for this method if the buyer does not want to pay for tracked on items over 20 quid.
  8. I may be wrong, but wasn't the faster version on the Crestview LP. It had the same cover as the UK B&C LP release but a different track listing.
  9. Just had a bit of a clarification on this, the boots are still in their database, but are flagged so that people cannot sell them.
  10. They certainly are, a couple of days ago they took down a Mirwood copy of Jimmy Thomas I had listed. The problem will be working out which are bootlegs and which a legit 2nd issues, like the small 45 Okeh stuff.
  11. In the days between the Torch and Wigan, when the Mecca was the place to be on a Saturday night, I found 2 UK issue copies of Lynne Randell on a market stall in Blackpool on the Sunday after I first heard it at the Mecca. I remember a certain Mr Levine not being over impressed when i had them for sale the following Saturday. He was even less impressed that Colin was laughing his cock off to boot.
  12. Yes, but the buyer has to co-operate with you and claim via the Royal Mail, if he won't co-operate he can just claim and get refunded by e-bay/paypal out of the sellers account. I've sold 1000s of records, over the last few years, and only had about 10 go missing in the UK, (Italy and France are another matter). Apart from twice the buyer has claimed off the Royal Mail and been refunded every time with proof of postage. These were all low value claims of course, anything over 20 quid goes recorded/signed for depending on value. If I ever get buyers not wanting to pay the extra postage I insist that they pay by Paypal Gift.
  13. It's not just an E-Bay problem, the same applies to anything paid for via Paypal however sold, e-bay,discogs, etc. etc.
  14. Yes he told me the tale, he said he sold all that stuff to Russ to play at Wigan, and used the money to buy some decent records instead .
  15. Something that needs to be kept in mind, when trying to suss out who played what, where first, is the following. Back then The Cats/Torch/Mecca were all happening on the same night and people traveled between them. Therefore a new discovery could get played at the Cats or Mecca and then at the Torch within hours. Later on we had Sam's (Fri.)/Mecca/Wigan(Sat) and Va Va's(Fri)/Mecca/Wigan (Sat.), so a new sound could be played at 3 different places in 36 hours. Please remember, in those days most DJ's were quite willing to lend their new sounds to other DJ's at another club, many collectors who didn't DJ, would also often lend records to DJ's too.
  16. The London lads, Mick, Dave Rivers et al brought loads of sounds up to the Torch/Mecca in those days. I'm not sure Mick was even DJing back then, certainly not outside London if at all.
  17. Slow Fizz was played at the Torch but wouldn't surprise me if it was played at the Mecca first. Tony Clarke and Saxie Russell were Mecca first then Wigan sounds.
  18. Overlooked ?, it was played everywhere in the early 70's and consequently was played out, it was even re-issued in the UK. I wish I now had every original copy, I'd ever left in a rack or seen on lists, both UK and U.S. for next to nowt. As for it selling for more than Ray Pollard Dave's right, the world has gone nuts.
  19. Stone cold bargain now then
  20. Surely the buyer has to instigate a claim before Ebay do anything ?. Did the buyer contact you before he contacted Ebay and they reimbursed him ?
  21. Thanks for the reply, it all makes sense now, especially with Brunswick making offers people couldn't refuse.
  22. How the hell could Eric reissue Doggin' Around with different writer credits than the original release ?, and given that they did, how would that affect the original registration at ASCAP, MCPS or whoever and any royalties paid ?.
  23. I did wonder why Marc Almond came down the Central , now I know it was for your personal gratification.
  24. Did he pay by Paypal ?. If so you may be able to claim from them, I did it once when a tracked item went missing and they had refunded the buyer, I had to ring them and give them some grief, but I got there in the end. Contrary to popular belief I think there is some seller protection, with paypal when this happens, especially with tracked shipping . It might be worth a try at least.
