  1. Yeah, it's the same seller. He worked for a record distributer in Chicago during the 60's, so he's got a ton(thousands) of unplayed promo copies of records that were just given to him. Sad part for me is, he got hold of a Manship guide, and since his stock is for the most part unplayed, he wants full book price.
  2. More than likely it's the same seller. As I said, he told me that he wanted at least $3,000 or he was going to keep it until he could sell it for that. The guy is legit though. Got a friend who's been over to his house and seen the record.
  3. Saw the one about Philly the other night...wasn't too impressed.
  4. Got it off someone else's myspace page actually. But I just looked up theirs and they got even more awesome pictures. Thanks for the info. https://www.myspace.com/davebradyandthestars
  5. Jay J. Jones, Bobby Paris, & Johnny Sayles are sold.
  6. Lot price added.
  7. I know they're a Minneapolis group, but does anyone have anymore info on them? I believe one of, if not their only 45 has an impressions cover on it. Can anyone provide a soundclip? That aside, this is the coolest picture I've ever seen.
  8. Prices reduced again.
  9. 'Doing the Pop Corn'
  10. Sold items removed. Prices on remaining records reduced! Real bargains here.
  11. Red, of course.
  12. Clearly our grading systems are different, but do you really have to do this on my thread? Obviously I'm in need of money, and you're just taking it right out of my hand. You've made it clear that you're unahppy with your purchase and I've offered you a refund. If there are any more problems would you please just send me a PM?
  13. You can return it and I'd happily give you a refund. The grading might have been a little off on the Para-Monts, but it played like it was mint on my table...also, you only paid $60 for it which is quite cheap. If anyone needs to check my grading, I'm happy to send scans and full soundclips of any record you might be interested in.
  14. Marvin Smith, Joe & George, and Denise LaSalle are all sold.

  18. From what I've heard, the guy found a few hundred of them(500-600 if not more), split the lot with a guy in England, and it's fixing to be the next Clara Hardy.
  19. I've heard of other things like smearing turtle wax all over the records and then playing it at 78 for a bit...apparantly it makes a beat up record sound mint. Just like fixing warps by putting the record in the oven for a few seconds, I'm way too scared to try it.
  20. Looking for playable copies these please: Oracles - I Ain't Got Time Ruby - Feminine Ingenuity Bob & Gene - Sailboat The Quantrells - Can't Let You Break My Heart I'll be out of town starting tomorrow for the Emerald City Soul Club weekender, so I'll answer any PMs on Monday. Thanks, Nick
  21. Best gritty production ever! Sounds like your blowing the speakers even when you play quietly. Brian Engel from Minneapolis has been pushing both Joe Walker & Charles 'Mr. CC' Carlson pretty hard for years...I suppose that doesn't affect the European scene that much though.
  22. I've e-mailed him before about about a different record. I guess he's an old dude that has been collecting since the 60's, and I heard that he used to be a radio DJ back then or something too? He was bragging about this record telling me that he put a reserve of $3,000 on it, and is one of those guys that got a hold of a Manship guide and then tells you exactly how rare his records are when he really doesn't have a clue.
  23. Everything has been sold. Thanks a lot, you have no idea how much this helps me out.
  24. Tony Middleton, Ray Pollard, & Lonzine Cannon are sold.
