  10. Have to drag me old B&S's out but it was always referred to as Paint Yourself as the A side there and spoken of as big a hit as Too Late. Don't matter that much though do it? Not worth more than a tenner Tony
  11. Could be wrong about the figures, but thought it crossed over to become a sizable pop hit Tony
  12. When you get to my age you remember these tunes from first time round. This was a massive hit in the states early 70's sold hundreds of thousands at around the same time as Cornelius Bros Too Late, another huge hit so cannot in way be rare. £10 absolute tops. Tony
  13. 'Twas Betty Swann Make Me Yours, and yes Soul sneaks into the oddest places. I walked into TK Maxx last week and stopped dead to hear Roy Ayres Everybody Loves The Sunshine. Where'd that come from? Tony
  14. Just like the Old Spiderman mural at The Carlton in Warrington (OK Spiderman, If you don't wanna Dance-- Piss Off) Who remembers that?? Tony
  15. Dunno pal. But one of the last to see him would be Ricky Warburton from Salford. You should be able to ask him Sunday Tony
  16. Bad Payer, f*** me you should have experienced his driving. Both hands on the wheel at ALL times if there was nobody in the passenger seat to change gear for him we.d still be sat on the car park at Wigan. Tony
  17. Seeing as I started this I'll tell you that it had £100 on it, like I said at least one zero too many, Got 3 mint copies at a record fair for 50p each bout a year ago. Kept 1 gave the others to mates. Tony
  18. Ah ha Thought so. At least one, possibly two, too many zero's on it. Nearly swallowed me tongue Gracias Antonio
  19. Archie Bell & The Drells Wher Will You Go When The Party's Over. UK PIR Label What's the going rate on this ?? As I saw one last week for a f*ckin ridiculous amount of wedge. Cheers Tony
  20. Easy one this, as paying more than a tenner makes me nose bleed, however here's a few that get aired at The Vic. Little Milton So Blue. Sugar Pie deSanto Here You Come Running Faith Hope & Charity No Trespassing Paul Kelly Since I found You Otis Redding Look At That Girl Bill Moss Number One Percy Sledge Heart Of A Child Ketty Lester River of Salt Lou Rawls Dead End Street Edwin Starr Love, The Lonely Peoples Prayer. And an odd few that cost a few coppers more Tony
  21. Gaetano's and The Blackbird Cafe were the same place, not behind Debs but actually behind the old Littlewoods opposite where Sacha's Hotel is now. Oh yeah I used to go as well with another handful from Salford. Tony
  22. Can't stand, Del Larks Job Opening, Bernie Williams version of Ever Again and have always thought FW was an ok effort but never deserved the adulation it received from the off. But it's probably just me. Tony
  23. Just wondering what this goes for now , Nobody but You on Omen. seemed to be one of those that you couldn't give away(like Spyder Turner) but sounds bleedin' good nowadays Fanks, Ta Ra Tony
  24. Yeah we've been known to give it the odd spin at The Vic,but this other version as I say is a bit slower and a bit more soulful(IMO) so any info gratefully received. Fanks Ta Ra Tony
  25. I see Syng Mcgowan That's What I want seems to be getting a few more airings lately. Heard a version at weekend, bit slower, anybody know owt? Cheers tony
