    Being that most of our heroes came from pretty poor backgrounds and found that they had a talent for music that could lift them, did any of them ever make any real money?? Obviously I'm excluding the real rare stuff that sold 1 copy or less. I'm thinking more along the lines of The Dells , Jackie Wilson, Four Tops etc people that had some pretty sizable hits along the way. As its fairly well known that label owners and managers during the 60's and beyond were quite ,err, "shrewd" businessmen. Just curious Tony

    I can remember this trend starting around about '75/76 at the good old Casino. Not half as stylish as the towelling tennis wrist bands (50p a pair from your local Hurleys) us young guns from Manchester wore. Tony

    Well me and Steve played both versions at our Sunday night do's in Heywood, and I'm pretty sure it's had airings the revived Wheel nights, but it definitely deserves a wider exposure, it's cheap too! BTW don't request a soundbite as I have neither the technology or the skills required Cheers Tony

    So far it looks like a no, so the question now becomes ,why? I'm fairly sure that when Sheridans was open the same core of people went 2 or 3 times a month, albeit to nights run by different promoters. Or is it that by going to different venues you can hear a wider selection of Sounds,like say Prestwich Blackburn Stoke Tony
