Just thought I'd ask.
As this is still predominately a Dancing scene, if the tune you've just slapped on dies a death would/should you cut it and put something else on instead????
It's something I used to do a long time ago, and I have done it a coupla times since, but......what do reckon?????

How about The Velvelettes---These Things Will Keep Me Loving You.
Exactly the same tune but completely different lyrics on the single from the version on Motown Chartbusters 6 (which happens to be the version also put out on the This is Northern Soul, Motown CD that Chris King put together)

Not cloudy here,
However.
First choice should have been either
Leo's Sunship--Give Me The Sunshine
or
Roy Ayers--Everybody Loves The Sunshne,,
or maybe not
Cheers

Why do we have to worry about who walks through the door as a newie.
Either this music grabs you by the nuts and turns your life around or it does'nt.There aint no middle ground!
Those that get it will stay, those that don't will feck off to the next big thing.
BUT first, they gotta hear it.

Being of a certain age,
More Stax/Atlantic/Motown than you can shake a stick at, but for starters....

Behind A Painted Smile-- Isleys
Baby Boy---Fred hughes
Am I the same Girl--Barbara Acklin
Higher & Higher---Jackie wilson
Soulfinger-- Barkays..
Can't do clips at work.
On ya go!

Only one springs to mind.
Jason Knight was quite popular at the time,
so when in Global came across "My Love is Getting Stronger" by one Cliff Nobles on J-V,
Hmm... Thirty bob, it could be the same, go on then......
