I have often thought that there would be a good night to be had at a purely Motown Night playing mainly 60's Motown covering the whole range from the likes of Where Did Our Love Go through to the (perhaps) lesser known LP tracks, on the other thread, maybe a coupla times a year. Great Version of Share A Little Love by The Isleys on one of the "cheap" lps, also good version of Eddie Hollands Leaving Here That's the EMI Starline one with Rumour on it- Crackin' tracks all the way. Tony

Ditto, at an event earlier this year we had the room rockin' on Motown and sixties soul, and right in the middle of Smokey --More,More More of your Love - a guy sez wiil stop playing this stuff and play some Motown instead Tony

Back in about 75 ish I had an lp of 12 tracks or so, that I bought from a dealer who would make them up from the tunes on his list.

I know that the new trend is to end allnighters at 7 or 6 o'clock rather than the traditional 8.00 a.m., and that half nighters go on till about 4 ish, but I 've just seen a night advertised as a Mini -Allnighter 8 till 2.00 Now that I don't get to as many allnighters as I would like, I am happy to say that I am a Hardcore Mini Nighter goer Tony

yeah all of the above (except for the Blues Tunes) are all examples of what I call youth club music, the stuff that first got us interested. Ricky Warburton from Salford. Why? Known him nearly all my life. both got into Soul at the youth Clubs. both went to the Pendulum together( He went to The Torch, my dad wouldn't let me play out all night) Blue Rooms, Carlton, Mecca, then onto Wigan, then marriage( not together ) lost touch for about 12 years, found out roughly where he lived, went for a wander to see if I could suss it out, there he was sat in his front garden, first words to me after all that time???? "Hiya Tone. Wanna Brew?" Also has a very nice collection Tony
