  7. YES seriously though, we're gonna try and carry on from where we left off at Pockets a few years back, which was mainly 60's, but more importantly not played to death and fresh to a few ears. Oh yes, and any suppliers of Fine Vinyl will be more than welcome. ATB Tony
  8. The intention is to play quality that deserves to be heard by people that WANT to hear something rather than the done to death NS 500 (or is that 200?) I think Paul is running bi monthly-3rd Saturdays, but I'm sure he'll confirm if he's not out robbing Stagecoaches "Who was that Masked Man????" ATB Tony
  9. I would agree that it's the RETRO aspect at the moment. My 18 year old Daughter recently bought a "Northen Soul" bag and T shirt, Why I asked when you don't listen to the music???? 'S Retro innit? came the reply. She buys clothes influenced by the Classic Audry Hepburn look, from shops in Manchesters Northen Quarter (no pun intended) that play the music in the background. Soulies?????? I think not, but........it only takes a few to investigate further. ATB Tony
  10. Surely you don't mean Troggs???? You are far too young Tony
  11. Well, first off we're not talking a Bury or Heywood sized Ballroom, but an "intimate" room And, if I've checked the dates correctly, 2nd Saturdays. ATB Tony
  12. Sorry, but Yes. In an effort to hear something different another new night starts in May in North Manchester. Definately NOT aimed at those that prefer the Top 500, but quality and underplayed uptempo (mostly) 60's Soul. Got some Collectors/DJ's lined up, but if anyone fancies it going forward gizza shout. More Later. Tony
