    Can remember, just, around 10 of us in the back of one of these trying to get over Snake Pass, winter 73/74. Leather Soles are not conducive to pushing vans uphill on icy roads..... We eventually got there

    Don't think it makes that much difference these days. But in the olden days, the value of the originals dropped a fair way once they had been pressed.
