  1. Only ever had it on the Nolan Lp-which unfortunately got nicked Tony
  2. Hi Andy- you forgot Hime & Addison, across the road from Rare Records, was also one, name slips me, on Stevenson Square that had a few bits. Also a stall on Salford Market where I "liberated" a copy Of Betty Swann-used to have the usual box of imports, and Spin City on Cross Lane, Salford always had Motown Lps in the window--Chris Clark, Tammi Terrell, Fantastic Four are the standouts I can remember. ATB Tony
  3. Best would be Cliff Nobles-My Love is Getting Stronger, thinking it might have been a take on Jason Knight. Well, I was young........ Worst (of many) picked up one on a lovely R&W Stateside Demo by The Dillards, could have been Moses & Joshua It wasn't T
  4. Yes, like Joan said, why would you buy something you don't like ?? And, once again echoing Joan, so many I do like I can't afford.. Ah well-So much soul, So little Time ATB Tony
  5. No, I don't think I would be .. T
  6. Yeah, and their "you Can't Dress Up A Broken Heart" is even more so. Tony
  7. I guess it's also an advantage if you're working for the No.1 Self sorry Soul promotion Company in the World T
  8. Blimey, that was quick...

  11. Well, they were less Politically Correct times than these-so they were probably thinking "Marsha Hunt---Whho Hoo!!" Tony
  12. More like no-fi Tony
  13. Not seen Paul Anka- Can't Help Loving You- yet.. had to be one THE biggest tunes around early 70's. Tony
  14. Jimmy Conwell pressing of To Much is pretty crap too. Tony
  15. Haven't heard that-is it a real 'un or a knocked up thing i.e. one of Simon S*ussan specials ? In fairness- the backing track to The Invitations is quite meaty, and I wouldn't mind hearing that. ATB Tony
  16. The Invitations or wigans ovation,?? hmmm let's see. One's a Soul Group-the other isn't ( and never will be) T
  17. Which version are talking about Stevie?? Wigans Ovation is a poor cash in piece of pop crap. The Invitations-while not to everybodys taste nowadays, was a Very Big record in the early 70's. As for the Beach Girls, well, let's leave that one alone Tony
  18. No it is not just you. I used to be quite evangelical playing tunes to people trying to explain etc.--but that was along time ago. Now I know not everyone gets it-tough sh*t your loss-you'll never have what I've got. Just remind me- what does Cosa Nostra mean, again?? :shhh: Tony
  19. There's only a few of us that can.... T
  20. I'd be very wary of nail varnish remover-lighter fuel seems to do the trick usually, like you say. Tony
  21. Thanks for the offers. tony
  22. on the lookout for this cheap'un ta tony
  23. I 'd probably go with Danny Wagner meself.. Tony
  24. Didn't know Kenny was dead..... you're right surname Graham. Lived in Salford nearly all his life. Knew the wholefamily. ATB Tony
  25. Interesting... got a few Demo's date stamped which I like-some don't-as it gives an history. Also got a demo copy of Cleo's Mood - Junior Walker -which is stamped " Coast to Coast", which I like to believe was used in the Lenny Henry thing of the same name from a few years back( probably isn't though ) Tony
