    I know that a lot of people prefer pristine labels, but I like things like this, Radio Station stamps etc. Kind of gives them provenance and puts 'em in a timeframe.

    Presume you mean his version of Do It, with the Billy Sha Rae Band ?? prefer that version myself. believe he was one of The Funk Brothers early on. Jack Ashford must have rated Billy though.

    Don't think you need to be overconcerned with pixelating that... As to announcement.....I'm sure Mike Walker stood on stage several weeks before and asked if we wanted the cameras in, to quite a Negative response.

    It's doing my head in (again). There's a track she sings in the film that is a complete rip-off of a NS classic--thinking Janie Grant. What is it ? Can anybody put me out of my misery ?? Thanks

    No, A few years back my youngest daughter bought a Northern Soul bag complete with big black fist, I asked, as she didn't like Dads music, why she'd bought it It's retro innit, she replied.

    Don't know what happened there,... When did Across the Board become such a reviled term. Surely all of the renowned Venues down the years have been Across the Board, playing-Oldies, Newies, Crossover(Whatever that means), R&B(Whatever that means), Midtempo( Whatever that means) and New or very recent releases , All under one roof, all in the same room all to the same Dancefloor-- We used to call it Northern Soul

    It all seems out of proportion nowadays. Once upon a time the price of a concert ticket was, broadly speaking, the same as an LP or CD for our younger viewers. I can understand what Mike is saying, but frack me could get a cheap holiday for what they want now.
