and how would we notice the difference?? ;-) I will just add that i agree with Joe and Mace - i am no seller, but I do buy 45s on the odd occaision, and unless you can get these sellers on-board you may as well not bother. I particiapted in the last two (or three?) 'Soulbid' sites as a buyer and after a while did not return becuase there was just one seller, selling run-of-the-mill 45s that you could get anywhere. You need these sellers - so take a loss-leader....that is my advice, as a business man, for what it's worth, which may not be much (if it is worth something, please send cash to the usual address)

MOLDIE - How very facking dare YOU insinuate that Sallie or Rod do not attend events in the 'midlands' fack me that is SOUTH for them - the reason you aint seen them is cos they go to ALLNITERS not the events (allbeit very good i am sure) that you DJ at - oh yes - the 'you DJ at' cos where else will you be? - WE are talking ALLNITERS Where where YOU?? i saw you you on saturday nite - and dont give the Friday excuse - you weren't there cos you weren't part of it!! you weren't DJing (and why should you be? - there were proper DJ's down South and didn't need the play by numbers routine that you do) HOW VERY F*CKING dare you insult my friends Sallie and Rod and all my other brothers and sisters like that - they have something YOU and yours will never have - PASSION!! AND - The last reason of attendance - is pureley because down the south coast there is NO allniter scene - andf that is it - it dosent mater what the music policy is posted... APART...from maybe someone who thinks that is is OK to put an Allniter on in Brighton the following nite and not think that it will effect either venue - but yeah let's check the source on the two events this weekend - Bournemouth - ran by two very passionate people who attend alniters over the country... and Brighton - ran by someone who has not attended an allniter out of the county for years and runs it only for the money...Sickening Love Sian - she could bring her mini bus down here to go to an allniter up north - if she collected all the REGULAR Allniter people form Brighton to Bournemouth and i think we would probably go trade the bus in for a Ford Ka - There are NO niter people down here except those that turned up on Friday nite.

I think what WE all have to remember that for you, John, it is business not just a part time way to gain some cash to buy more records like many sellers (not all of course!!). And you have THE best website buying facility bar none, pay your taxes and have the knowledge and experience - all of which comes at a price. The amount of time i have seen 'cheapie' wants on here that you have listed on your site is just unbelieveable - yeah you could buy them cheaper from the States, but by the time you add on postage and waiting time, it's no better... to surmise; people getting upset someone is making money. that's it from me really

Steve at Va Va Voom when i DJ'd there were 'yougnsters' dancing around and having a ball - you were there did you not see them??. One coming up to the decks after each record asking what it was. Now this is probably limitied to the major cities like London and Manchester (Stevie Cato's do's for one) - THEY made my nite, if it wasn't for them i would have gone home disponednet, but they lifted me right up. A couple of factors to this IMO - location; location; location (ok, that's three; they don't need or want to travel to the middle of nowhere to look at old people dance) and two - the music - they want up-front (good) dance music - watching these people dance - its not northern soul dancing... its just...good and it's a pleasure to DJ to them. Now, if we are talking where are the 'youngsters' on the trad nothern soul scene...then we are truely are facked

I had not even read your Hughie comment - but now that you've pointed it out I am somehow going to have to retrospectively have a sulk and huff with you now LOL. I think you are right and its all perception - and peoples do differ at the end of the day. We did meet a few Burnley's ago - somehow in the darkness we missed each other there last Saturday (though I did of course see you DJ; very enjoyable btw)
