  1. ..and as Chalky says, one where there doesnt seem to be a fixed price. If you're not desperate hold out you; should get one £150 maybe £200
  2. yeah good double sider! :-)
  3. beach boys - i just wasn't made for these times
  4. wake-up. coffee. smell
  5. and about 12 months ago Manship had it set sale for £400...
  6. I found myself watching Fred Dinbnah last week on TV. He went to a meeting of steam engine enthusiasts. There were people there just for the thrill of riding on a steam engine, some sitting round in groups talking about the old days and talking about engine part numbers and 'it wasn't like this in our day' sort of thing. And one lad of 25 years who was worried that, him being the youngest on the steam engine scene, no one was behind him to keep the steam engine flag flying and it would all finish. A fitting analogy I thought. Lets face it people, the northern soul scene, as we know it, has maybe 15-20 years at most left in it. I am nearing 40 (yeah, I know I only look 27) and am still relatively young on this scene. There are not enough young people coming through to support it in the way it is now; yes there are young people coming into it - but not enough. It will transform from weekly congregationd into an annual or bi-annual mass - until the congregation is such that small numbers can not even sustain that. Sad, but true. And those fools, and there are some, that buy records to sell for their retirement. Well sell now people. Me, I am thinking of selling all my records and buying a steam engine...
  7. a bargain indeed you may consider it too much Christian, but next time you see a record i want going for (what i condsider) half price - please let me know!!
  8. Steve, I know someone who paid £1.6k end of last year for the Vanguards Sensations went recently for £1.2 to £1.5k cant remember exactly as it was Sunday that i was told... You'll find yaself in a queue for the sensations lol
  9. i got it and recommend it too - i aint even on commission! - 2 good sides
  10. (..learned to dance..) Been after this for ages - on uptight 007 (see i evem memorised the bloody number!) not rare at all everyone tells me, £40er. But still can find one :-(
  11. Pete, you're a twat! IMO a great record. And though the Artisitics is good; not a patch on J Howard. The Artisitics takes you my the hand and gentle floats you...Howard jumps at you. grabs you by the throat and shakes you all around Yes was booted as a green issue. £250 seems about the going rate now for the demo - issue is rarer. And there are 2 different label designs for the demo - one with the bashie type 'logo' the other plain text.
  12. dunno Marc - but written by Clarence Hill - came out on Sentry first

  21. Its the exact same recording, same band. Why it was put out again thinking it would sell some being called rock candy??!! They used the same plates, matrix no's etc exactly the same on both.
  22. Shitloads£££ or trades will PM you in a day or so mate.
  23. No, not imo John. Just a tad on the slow side and not instant enough to storm the dancefloors like ptm did/has.
  24. An excellent night, great laugh and great music some of the RnB was a bit 'hard' for my taste; but that was only a few tunes. A thoroughly enjoyable night, made a nice change
