  1. its on decca credited as the Jive Fyve (five) i think, cant be bothered to go look at it. £35 to £50 ish. great record
  2. He (Halll) is on the wirting credits too - but i seem to remember they put his name as 'Haul' or something like that.
  3. a mate got one out of a box at a nite earlier this year for £150. And as i've got one i'd say £500 is about right LOL
  4. me too i like both sides of the stemmons 45 myself, vocally not up to the precisions imo, but both worthy. Edging toward 'love thief' against 'misery' just for atmosphere
  5. i allways thought that too, 'stemmons' may not be but the label is out of california. i read somewhere a few years ago that an early incarnation of Fleetwood Mac also had a 45 out of the label, recorded and released in Calif. it also said that 'stemmons' came out at about the same time 1968/69 which puts it after the Precisions. I can't find the article right now, but found the 45 on popsike (pete, if that's the one you got it went for $800 a few years ago), the label number has rubbed off my Stemmons 45 so cant see if it came before or after the 'fleetwood' one.
  6. allways thought this was a solid £20ish. still i got one, so dont care. no matter what, it's a fookin' great record.
  7. is that not Bobby Day...?
  8. thats right paul, it was to stop dealers/wharehouse/shops returning a 45 (or cut album) for a full credit. as for the Portsmouth/Southampton link, i can concur with that. many a time i have picked a Sensations or Don Gardner off southsea beach and used it for skimming. my 'record' being 5 skips from an Al Wilson; not betting my bestest ever of 8 from a nice flat pebble though.
  9. Shit, i can't get that link to work Tony. Guess i will just have to keep it now
  10. me neither, and i allways thought it was a great record (though allways knew it was 'country Ed') but now i am told it IS a country OR western record. maybe i shall sell mine - any one got a link for the C&W Forum?
  11. good tops Tony, pint your way when we're at the bar next
  12. back on track... four vandals for me. northern soul? Yes!
  13. Janine spoke to his lastnight, don't think he has been on line much lately, then again he may have burnt entering the church at his new soul do
  14. Me and Janine went to see Martin yesterday. As Dean's photo shows Martin is still hooked up to all sorts; he so desperately wanted to talk to us, but couldnt due to his operation, he is in a stable condition and the way that he squeezed my hand lots of strength there. Early days; hopes and prayers still coming your way Martin. See you soon.
  15. sorry for the delay Win. No, no news that we know. Dave Clarke did post on another site earlier and he went to see him yesterday and there has been no improvement maqybe a bit worse, unfortuantely. The medical staff are not sure yet what has caused all these and they are waiting for results from the test lab.
  16. janine snow and karen crane collect and got good records
  17. i just got off the phone to Janine, she and Sam have just got back from hospital and unfortunately Martins health has deteriorated since yesterday and he is gravely ill. we will of course let you know any developments I think Billy put everybody's thoughts best in his post... COME ON MATE WE'RE PRAYING 4 U
  18. Hi guys sorry to be the bearer of bad news but just heard from Dave Clark that Martin Alspo also known as Mr Click, is in Intensive Care, apparently it started off as pneumonia but he is now having probs with his kidneys and they are draining his lungs. Dave said he is hooked up to all sorts of stuff and he isn't conscious. Janine & Sam are going to visit him tomorrow in hospital, so if anyone would like to do a get well wish here tonight please do and I she can print them off to take, if he isn't awake tomorrow at least he can read them when he does wake up
