quite a few years ago now i got Chubby & the Turnpikes "I Didn't Try" - i waited a year or so to get it since Pete Smith had listed it at £50 and then it was going for over £200 - i was determined to get one under £200. So when i finally did i was very disapointed that it had 3 clicks at the start. now these clicks were opposite the fingersnaps at the start - so it went "fingersnap, click, fingersnap, click, fingersnap, click". If the clicks where on the 'snaps' it wouldnt be that bad. But as i had waited sooooo long for it, i didnt wnt to return it - so i got the 45 under the kitchen sink tap and had a go at the bad area with my toothbrush...the clicks went and it was then perfect

i think Shifty had it one or two lists back can't remember the price - but it's not hard to get hold of

i find it far easier to look on SS to find the final price than watching for it to end on the auction or anywhere else. i dont see a problem imo

well, ok, not just my opinion, but anyones opinion whose ears don't need cleaning out - 'Keep on Climbing' is far better that 'i got news'. End of. and at 99p on ebay - its worth a punt

ok paul, well, while you are looking for the Mag Men, look out for their eponymous LP - it has 'I got news' on it but the far far better (IMO, which is always right) and LP only track 'Keep On Climbing'. Get it - it makes sense.

i ordered a record last nite but i am buggered if i can remember what it is - still it makes it more exciting when it comes through the mail box...i play it...and wonder why the fack i bought it

Probably about right James; Tim B auctioned one earlier this year - not in great condition and it was £2.5k with a few hours to go - not sure exactly how much it went for in the end.

Rogers shop "boogaloo-on-Broadway" is in Dawes Rd, Fulham. very good it is too.

i cant remember, but it was 400 or 500 made, no less. and as you say quite a few were binned at the convention. Great, great tune
