  3. Dave withers had a few of these in his shop in the 80s , I left em cos I wasn't keen on it at the time they were £15 !! Doh .anyway wot I'm replyin for if the fania release is above your budget there is a re-issue available on a label called lrc I think thats right, might be under c/u name Rex garvin , mr misery and lucky charms on it also,well it's an alternative

  18. funny you should mention that about the chandlers c/up as i had pats copy for a good few years (eastern silver issue ,the indentation of the c/up label had permanently marked it!)sold it on to glen hunter . only played the ballad on flip as i remember, a side yuk :(just to add i only presumed it was pats copy unless more djs had it at the same time?

  22. i went to allnighters from 16 years old and cover -ups were the norm , circa ..78 to well now !,but who were the guys finding out who the records were by ,one night i remember vividly searling introducing frankie karl and stipulating it wasnt the 7th avenue aviators which id just seen in 3 different boxes in the bar. so who were the major uncoverers (if thats a legit word)
