  2. That's weird played it at my mates 40th Saturday
  3. Spot on Sean, always liked Satisfactorize your mind' as a dancer, 'What made you change' is decent and 'look at the boy' and 'here i go again' are quality. I would imagine Henry Shed' something is drastically wrong' is a Hi recording even though it's on Cream.
  4. Very sadly overlooked is her Chess stuff recorded at Muscle Shoals, some superb stuff
  5. Looking for a near mint copy of the Rare stamps lp. I'd like a decent copy of Barbara Mason - you better stop but I think the price may be too high now.
  6. I only know ' Fine fine fine'
  7. That's really sad, saw him in New York a few years back playing with a young band. A real character we met up with him coincidentally the next day and were moaning about people talking all the way through his ballads at the gig. So he serenaded my wife with a killer ballad. Another loss
  8. Just playing the soundclip of Bari track, still sounds brilliant. Sad day, but what a legacy all these guys have left us.
  9. Just caught up with this show, heard it on podcast. Stunning stuff mate, will try and make it up to your do in January especially as it's mine and Bullys birthday at the end of the month. All the best Binsy
  10. I went to the Crown Hotel a few times. I think I've still got the first anniversary patch somewhere. The crowd were bonkers, but totally up for it. I remember one time we left Euston at 7am Saturday morning to get to Derby to get the coach up with Keb ,Guy, Gilly, Tommo etc. That didn't leave until 1pm, we got there at 1am and I wasn't even taking anything. Tempests 'Someday' was played on the coach up there on a cassette and by the trime we arrived it had been played a few times and 'broken' ready to play that night. Great times
  11. It'll be like Bing Crosby and David Bowie singing ' little drummer boy' but not as weird
  12. Hi Sean, Thanks for the big plug Sean, really looking forward to it Love those old Chris Forest flyers from the village, surprised he ever got any teaching done.
  13. I think you'll find that's Graham the wrestler
  14. Hi Bob, Always loved ' How did we get to this' from the LP. Great stuff Mark
  15. It's not been a great weekend mate. One of my favs is 'foolish fool', really sad news
  16. I've come home pissed I'm crying now. Tats playing 'Do what you gotta do' at Monumental springs to mind amongst so many great others.
  17. Don't let Terry Jones hear you say that Tone Seriously though Linda Jones ballads are up there with the best of them 'Ooh baby you move me' ' What can i do without you' and that live cd that you compiled with amazing live version of 'thats when I'll stop loving you' are among the best soul records I've ever heard. Long overdue a re-appraisal.
  18. not sure if i'd like it now, but a fantastic Stafford record at the time
  19. A sublime piece of soul, you won't be disappointed. I think it's on the 'Woman to Woman' lp
  20. hello mate, great to hear you're still about. We had some great times with Gary PLuck, Kieron,Paul Franklin, Ion and Lenny
  21. Great stuff Kenny, Len was the guy who turned up in flippers Keep them coming, really good memories. The guy with ginger hair is Chris who used to go up to Stafford with us.

    4 For Sale

I love the Innervision track , totally recommended. Not sure if it's getting spun out, but it's day will come. Sean Hampsey also recommended the other side.
  23. You know why I'm laughing Tone. Magical group, all of the great tunes already mentioned plus ' Midnight sunshine' ' Just one moment' 'One broken heart for sale' I'm sure I'll remember some more.
  24. Love the Murco version too, Steve Cato played it out at last Soul Revolution upstairs, sounded great. Also love the 'Losing boy' Japanese Lp, mainly 70s tracks but top quality.
  25. Gwen Phlegm- oceans of your love
