I was there Jock a fantastic weekend and I love this record so much. another sad loss to music. Not sure if Ron was on the Dells Dramamtics - love is missing from our lives, but it would be up there with my all time faves.
Hi Steve,
I've got the James Carr and Barbara Lewis french eps. They look great and I've also got a book with photos of all the French Eps (Black music)
Bloody hell I was at that alldayer, crazy day. Baz Riley rolling around on the floor taking photos of everyone. Blokes with tashes and tattoos in a gay club that weren't gay, very strange but fun day
So would i mate, i first heard it in New York when Mr Finewine played some slower stuff at the Botanica for me. At least 3 great tracks from memory. I bought the New Sound Jap lp and found the sound quality disappointing so thought I'd ask first.
Thanks for the tip
Very overlooked in my opinion the 'Friction' lp is one of the most complete soul lps. I love the way the group exchange lead vocals on different tracks, a true masterpiece.
