  1. Mine doesn't sound right either for about the first 10-20 seconds seems to settle down after that. Somebody set the recording level at +11??
  2. Yep mine's on green Vault as well
  3. The flips not too shabby either. Played it at Warren's Cheap As Chips do last month.
  4. Ditto. Used to spin this at Shoes (off Cosmic) and always thought it sounded 60's so now I know why
  5. yep that tallies with what I was told. Cheers Pete Andy
  6. Just wondering what was the story with Body Motions instrumentals of She's Putting You On and False Alarm as I was told that this wasn't an actual Harthon issue, but appeared later. And yes I am looking for things to spin at Cheap as Chips
  7. Think I got mine for about £50, but that was 4 or 5 years back. Great tune Ooops just re-read your first post and I've got the wrong title completely, thought you meant Like You Hurt Me. Sorry
  8. Nancy Wilcox utter brilliance. There was a Thelma Jones(?) unreleased track that Ady spun, but for the life of me I can't remember the title but it was the DBs
  9. Andy Rix at Scenesville 2001 ish? Along with Baby A Go-Go and Lonely, Lonely Town. All great tunes. Superb memories
  10. I have to say that I think that's taking accuracy a bit too far. I don't have an issue with what music is played during the "storyline", anything used during the dancing sequences should be original recordings and ideally actually played at Wigan around 73-74. Anybody care to venture a play list???
  11. Have we had Congress yet??
  12. Rainmaker - The Moods
  13. Bu**er beat me to it
  14. Quicksand - Kell Osbourne
  15. Ahem In Paradise
  16. 3 o'clock going to be fun then
  17. Contact - 3 Degrees We are still on C aren't we????
  18. Came out on Mutt & Jeff as well didn't it?
  19. I remember DJing at These Old Shoes when we had technical problems with one of the decks and Jo Wallace spent the whole night giving a running commentary whilst Martin and me furiously swopped discs over on the other deck. The stand out point was when I just pulled out Little Charles & The Sidewinders - Talking Bout You Babe which I'd just got and was pretty proud of and Jo's comment was "Don't know much about this, but the label's pink." Always stuck in my mind since.
  20. £25-30? Try and get the issue which has the marvellous I Just Can't Wait Any Longer on the flip. DJ has Quitting Time on both sides.
  21. Wasn't there one on here not too long ago for £200? Don't know whether it sold or not
  22. There's also a female version of Don't Make Promises by Susan Taylor on Yorkville (Canadian) different backing to ZZ though
  23. Alright Derek It's You Need Me To Love You on Bell. Russ and Dave's comment was it's similar in style to Lonely Girl - Annabelle Fox which I love so I took a punt.
  24. 5 And Russ you and Dave were right about the Billie Dearborn. Cheers for the lift to the 100 Club. Andy
  25. Think that's the first 'legal' issue. First heard it on a mid-eighties tape. Mind you who ever did that played silly buggers with the pitch control and Marvin's voice had a certain chipmunk quality to it. No idea where the white label copies originated from (possibly much later?? )
