Uncle As for the book It was nice to read about my favourite soulstress but to be honest,with her sister writing it you dont seem to get the whole warts an all story with chunks of stuff glossed over Her sister seems to have loved her,even idolised her has an older sibling and the book shows this in bucket loads. I would still recommend it as the tale of a hugely talented but sadly tragic star

punk never got a big hold in liverpool along with being one of those sweatie type heavy metal chaps When i was a young mod running around the mean streets of wavertree i always got loads of trouble off the resident scalls But that was nothing compared to the punks and grebos who used to get webbed all over the place on a regular basis by liverpools wedge haired yoof I think its easier in liverpool to go with the flow than stick your had over the parapit

oopppss It was more of a shock to me that a group that made something as fantastic as "wont you please be my girl" were in the main a white group.(one of my all time favourite records) i had a picture in my mind of an all black group. Did i saw geeky? I meant groovy

The magazine gave me a hell of a shock when i turned to page 75 and there was a picture of the soulville allstars sometimes you are surprised when you see the faces that make the music but the geeky looking gang on the photo was a real surprise.

The best shoes for dancing that i know of that are easy to get hold of are the Base(london) shoe with the leather sole If you do decide to walk the leather sole route dont forget Brand new leather soled footwear should never be worn in wet weather conditions, It is important to wear them on a dry day to allow a build up of grit on the soles, doing this will help protect the leather and extend the life of the footwear

Cant speak for everyones sprogs on here But My eldest who is 17 is coming to prestatyn next sunday (when the people im with go home on sunday afternoon they are exchanging wrist bands to let my daughter and her "fella " in) She is only coming out of curiosity Because all her life she has been bombarded with soul but has grown up and gone into a music scene that is from her age group. God knows why we expect young people to hang around with middle aged people Because if that was offerd to me when i was a young un i would of told my ald fella to f....right off
