  1. Back on ebay after long break with some great tunes! I'll be adding about 10 to 20 titles daily for the next month or so. Please click on "view items from vinsoul65" below the scans. Thanks for looking, Vince.
  2. Oh the puns just keep on coming, i reckon it should have been issued on ACME records
  3. I guess i probably put it up on Ebay in the next few days and put a comment up in the relevent section with a link to the sale.
  4. Found a copy recently and can't find much info on it, will probably sell it but don't want to do myself out as it's obviously pretty rare. There are no sales on Popsike and i've heard conflicting values up to £1000's so any info would be appreciated. Atb Vince
  5. Several lots ending tonight mostly Uk label 70s, some great tunes. Please click on "View items from Vinsoul65" below Many Thanks Vince
  6. What awful news, i haven't seen tony for over 20 years but had loads of record deals with him and great conversations, truly one of the scene's "Nice guy's" Rest In Peace my friend!
  7. I think you have misinterpreted "Page Views" with "Watchers" Only the seller will know how many people are watching it. I've just sold a Beatles demo for £664 and i think that only had about 60 watchers but around 500 page views. I think the most amount of watchers i ever had on a soul 45 was about 50 on the Purple Mundi I sold a couple of years back. To get 80 watchers and not sell is virtually impossible i reckon
  8. I'VE NOT SEEN SUE SINCE THE DAYS OF LEIGHTON BUZZARD/DUNSTABLE DO'S BACK IN THE 80s, ALWAYS A HAPPY LASS AND GREAT COMPANY, MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU JON. RIP SUE.
  9. Oops! forgot to put photo in, here goes
  10. I found 4 new/old stock copies of the Silkie with perfect sleeves, duke sleeves are very hard to find, by that i mean the 60s texas ones (with the shield). I've probably got the later black ones (ABC distributed) atb Vince
  11. Hi, i have hundreds of U.S. company sleeves including many in mint condition (all originals) atlantic (all Variants) smash, rca, scepter, cameo, capitol etc plus a handful of rare ones, what are you hoping to pay? atb Vince
  12. Cheers bud! i'm still surprised i never come across it in the past and really surprised it's not in the RC guide.
  13. I can't believe this is rare but i can't find much info on it, to be fair it's not a bad version but not my cup of tea ta Vince
  14. As the original poster on this subject i thought it seems only right that i should give a response to what's been said as the interest has been quite large. Firstly i stopped listing for the moment and the last of my 45s finished last night. I must admit that the soul sales have been pathetic but like i say in the original post soul buyers appear to have dissappeared. From the posts i can see that an awful lot of people (not suprisingly) have lost all faith in Ebay and as a seller i have to agree with them, i genuinely feel that Ebay are screwing me whilst my sales are going down, a double edged sword! For the moment i will leave the soul 45s off Ebay and concentrate on the other stuff i have in at the moment, beatles, prog, metal etc as this sells well. To be fair last night sales were not as bad as previous nights but i'm still amazed when a mint- copy of Lionel Robinson "Warning" does not even get a bid with a £9.99 start price and Sherm Nesbary on Cheri that didn't get a bid last week with a start price of £7.99 made £21 this week but that's Ebay for you! I will of course take on board all the wise advice from many of the collectors and dealers on here as it would appear i'm way behind on things like Facebook Discogs etc. although one thing that has not been mentioned in any of the posts is what i believe to be the huge drop off in foreign buyers. In previous months/years i would guess that around 30% of my sales would go abroad, now i would say it's more like 5/10 % this may be due in part to having to hike the postage rate as royal mail put their prices up or is it because there is no longer the interest there was on other shores? On a final note i hope that things will pick up and that there is a market for the under £50 45s as this is what built mine and many other collections, it would be a shame if everybody is chasing the same "Top 500" rarities don't you think? Vince
  15. Crikey i'd love to have a look through your £1 box!!!!!
  16. I think the point is being totally missed! If all of my 45s only just scraped the start price i would be pissed off but when i have to suffer the indignity of 10 or 20% of them just about making the start price i'm virtually suicidal! They're not too expensive infact they are too cheap! Example: i have a copy of Smoke "Have I really lost you" on J. Bridge. It's on at £9.95 start price with no watchers! i wholesaled 6 copies last year for £15.00 each! The Scene's f**ked!
  17. I do know what people want and have been dealing in soul 45s for a very long time. I normally sell around 3000 soul 45s a year on ebay but i sadly i can't keep listing the northern soul top 500 to please the majority. Any idiot can sell high end stuff, God knows i've sold enough but up until now i have also sold a steady stream of quality soul titles without too much aggro. I goes back to what i said at the beginning, there's too many soul records around now and not enough buyers, 2/3 years ago i would have sold every item listed for at least their start price. The "soul buying" traffic to ebay just isn't there any more! By the way i don't expect "most buyers" to be interested i expect some, like i said in the original post i can sell metal/prog albums all day long with huge interest but sadly most of the soul collectors seem to have have buggered off! (see previous posts i.e. people who cant be arsed to look through the endless boots etc)
  18. Well there we are, another night of futile sales, i had 34 on last night and sold 6 with a grand total of £54, the records probably owed me £60+, utter waste of time!
  19. Listing at .99p would still cost 0.05p as i'm a business seller and i would also pay the end of listing fee. The point is that there are very few buyers out there regardless of price!
  20. I can totally understand that, perhaps thats why top rated sellers like myself are losing good buyers like yourself! By the way i only sell originals
  21. Cheers Mick, i have done that in the past, infact i used to list on both the UK & The U.S. sites but it's all becoming cost prohibitive, for example each listing is costing me 0.15p which does not sound a lot until you list a few hundred!
  22. I'm glad it's not just me then! Several friends have suggested these forums, i'm just not really sure how to get started and "Facetwatter" is a complete anathama to me!
