  3. i own a vestax but i think both the build quality and sound are appauling and for that matter way over priced, however it does a great job when you're diggin' for 45s.If you can find an old sony soundburger for the right money i think they're the best for sound quality and of course very compact

  5. one of my customers done a similar thing! He emailed me a grumpy message to ask were the other 45 was and i assured him they were sent together so i suggested he checked in the bin as it might have got thrown away.Yep there it was, he felt a right arse and i had a flood of apologies

  8. i'd love to hear it at cleethorpes ady but one of the reasons i dont get away too much is because i cant get matt and hutchins to get there act together and ive even missed prestatyn two years running now and its a helluva way to cleethorpes on your tod.Any chance of a soundclip?

  12. "well now the reason i'm playing bootlegs is because the originals are too valuable and mummy wont let me bring them out to play"
  13. fabulous record no mistake, has been around for a while now though
  14. i do get out locally ie poole dorset and even went over to the southampton alldayer last week but im afraid i just keep hearing the same old records and then bugger me ruby sodding andrews and hey presto the dance floors rammed! This track it seems has been big since time begun. Im sure there must be better records than that around at the mo. still dont get the clue unless of course you mean the parisians which aint half bad
  15. crikey! i remember when marriott used to play this ironically i never really liked it then nor now as it always reminds me of a gospel tune with all that handclappin and "im blessed" hookline its one of those rare records where i could think of dozens of ten quid records that are far superior
  16. dont get out much these days and just wondered what the current top spins and in-demand 45's are, individual items or perhaps dj playlists as i still like to keep my finger on the pulse so to speak

  21. thats exactly what i had in mind, then each seller could have there own rating e.t.c.
  22. im no technical boffin so i don't really know if this could work or not but how about an area of soul source purely for sales that remains there indefinately, in other words similar to gemm. The main difference being that it would be full of soul 45s and not trillions of crap records that nobody on here would be interested in. It would be simple, sellers could upload there records and when they sell simply remove them and then buyers looking for a record would simply type the track they're after into the search engine and hey presto! there will be a list of that 45 available from different sellers at different prices! have i had 1 too many beers or is this genuinely a good idea?
