For the sheer amount of incredible all nighter tunes he wrote, coupled with the fact that he was without doubt one of the sweetest, most genuine and humble people I have ever met, for me, it has to be Richard Popcorn Wylie.
I'll say!
My one and only venture into the world of promoting was about the most stressful thing I have ever done. And that was just a one off night that was free for everyone to get in!
You have to be ruthless to the point of being vicious to promote these days. Something I don't have in me I'm afraid.
I'm not sure we need yet another new night in the already fit to bursting soul calendar but good luck with it anyway.
I'll take that as a compliment of the highest order Bully.
Hope I can be excused the Don Gardner - seeing's as I wasn't in on the last tape swap.
Your cd and Mr. Reed's arrived today. Again loads I don't know.
Beginning to feel like mine is going to be a bit familiar to everyone. Promise to try harder next one!
A bit off topic as I haven't got a jar of glue about who Irene and the Scotts are. Sorry Val.
But someone once asked me about a record was that I had played. I replied it was 'Drake and the Ensolids'. To which he replied 'I wonder who or what was an Ensolid'
Hmmm... but it does make the ones that come up for sale rare.
Anyway, I must say in all the years I have been on the scene, I have never seen loads of them about.
Snap!
Have owned up and included an apology with each cd.
Just haven't had much cash to splash on new stuff lately... they were all new purchases in the last year once, just not this year.
Hope you can enjoy regardless!
