  1. What a lovely photo!
  2. Soooo, any chance we might get to the bottom of this hiss/no hiss thingy seeings as it definitely isn't needle burn?
  3. How creepy is that picture though? Used to scare me to death when I was a kid. Doesn't sit too well with me now either
  4. I must admit at times my box looks a bit like the home for unwanted 45s. Well, someone's got to love them I am not fussed about what the record looks like as long as it plays ok. Visual condition is not an issue for me, although playable condition is. That said, I don't pay a lot for anything, be it in good or not so good condition. Different if you buy and sell though
  5. I was waiting for that one I'm surprised you lasted till post 36 though Andy. Well done
  6. At the moment, for me it has to be Burscough British Legion. It might only a be a small club but the dance floor is fantastic
  7. I feel like that when people post tunes up without saying who it is
  8. Looks like yours is needle burn
  9. It would appear the demo's aren't like that Dave. Weird or what?
  10. So sorry for hijacking your thread Jodie
  11. I knew others played ok or else I would not have assumed mine had needle burn. It's a weird one for sure!
  12. That's weird. I have an issue and mine is exactly the same at the beginning. I always assumed it was needle burn - but maybe it is a fault in the pressing? Can all those with issues please speak up
  13. It is not the pitching up or down I object to so much, as the not putting the speed back to normal again for the next DJ. I have never done it myself but I know a man who does, don't I Paul Sadot? That said, there are records that could do with being pitched down a little though, if you want to stand any chance at all of dancing to them. Reggie Saddler - Hear My Song - Panther is one such tune.
  14. Come on guys, don't knock it till you've seen it
  15. Of course. You have to know who to avoid.
  16. But you don't see the point of original records? Shouldn't you be getting excited because it is a boot!
  17. Yeah, you're probably right. But come on, Mello Souls?
  18. Rude isn't the word I would use. The majority of people who play boots at least play records they have a chance of owning. Mello Souls?
  19. He is a member on here Pete.
  20. Is this for real?
  21. Not that the majority on here give a toss about that.
  22. The vast majority of harder to find stuff are £10 records when they are bootlegs! And no longer hard to find!
  23. There are loads of DJ's that play as good, as rare and as expensive records as Butch, Andy or Sam. The thing is, they are all playing the same records. There was a time when you could have stood outside a room and still knew who was DJing without even seeing them because of the tunes they played. These days it could be anyone because, to a large extent, they all play the same tunes. Is that the quote of a soul snob or what?
  24. Stand down Sarah, there will always be someone willing to play it for you
