  1. It was certainly played there Grant. By Gary Spencer if my memory serves me correctly? Then again I could be wrong. Chalky will remember I'm sure.
  2. Ha ha... how you doing Paulie
  3. Paul Sadot had this up for sale recently. I think it sold, although I may be mistaken. Might be worth a try just in case. I do know he wanted a lot more than £700 for it though.
  4. PMSL at the thought of you frantically searching for such a word. Brilliant
  5. If that's what it looks like then this thread is going to get interesting. Might even give the Levine thread a run for its money

The Brothers - Are You Ready For This?
  7. Every Little Anthony record I hear from now on will remind me of two people I don't bloody know
  8. They don't owe me money so I will no doubt be told to sling my hook. It's a really bad show when the promoters can't even be bothered to come on here and say something to the people whose money they have taken. Oh, my friends cheque bounced as well
  9. Excuse my ignorance, is the book just about Wigan?
  10. Samsoulster? Is that you Ginger
  11. Some records are just too soulful for their own good. This being a prime example. Like Wazz, I can only dream of owning records as good as this. Come on you wallets out there, do yourself a favour!
  12. Like I said, I haven't looked. Definitely wasn't booted though was it?
  13. How are ya big fella?
  14. Got mine of Dave Evison at Leighton Buzzard all nighter (wasn't easy) and I can't remember seeing another for sale. But then again I haven't looked. Have seen the others by her on Academy for sale loads of times. Great tune indeed.
  15. This wasn't booted was it?
  16. John Weston and Chris Morgan get my vote. Not what you lot would call 'technically' good dancers but boy do they dance from the heart. I could watch them for hours. And they always lift my heart!
  17. Jeez, it's awful! The perfect record for Cilla Black though.
  18. I am surprised by how many people don't play the other side of records. Something I can't get my head around.
  19. Can't remember who that first one is by Chalky but it is another version of Four Tops 'Loves Like Fire'. I know Cliff Camfield used to have it because I had it on a tape from him years ago. The next one is The Marteniques on MeO (but you knew that already). No idea about the third one.
  20. Apologies to all for my lateness this time round. I was hoping to put some of my other stuff onto my pc but that's proving harder than I thought. Anyway, will try and get that sorted asap. If not, I will have to make do with what's on here already. So sorry in advance for that
  21. How about you ask him to post up what he considers to be a proper Northern Soul play list?
  22. "DJ's are asked to play 60 - 70% of tunes in their spot that people know and have and can dance to but also play 30% of tunes that they as DJ's think are good dance tunes." How can anyone presume to know what people do or do not know?
  23. Sam is one of the most approachable people on the scene and probably one of the easiest to locate at weekends as he is always out DJing somewhere. The grown up thing would have been for Kev Such to go and have a word with Sam in person. But there would be no public drama in that would there?
