Sorry Phil but I can't believe I am reading this statement. Of course there is incentive to pay... it's not yours until it's paid for! Johnny mentioned this to me briefly a couple of months ago, not out of spite but out of sheer frustration and disappointment. It wasn't the amount of money that was owed, more the complete and utter lack of contact from the said person(s). As Carms has already said, times are hard and people's situations do change. If you are having trouble paying - be honest and say so. There is no shame in falling on hard times. It has happened to us all. If you find you can no longer afford a record you have taken, then give the record back so it can be sold to someone who can afford it! Some of you might say he's been a bit of a mug but I would have done the same in his shoes, simply because I have faith in people to do the right thing. Johnny is a reasonable man and I know something could have been worked out long before it got to this. All it would have taken was a phone call.

And here's me thinking people went to venues for the music. Silly me!

I think people are forgetting that there are plenty of mic friendly DJ's out there that are complete and utter pants!

Blimey is this thread still going? At the Wilton the other week I had gone with the intention of being a right chatterbox over the mic but would you believe the damn thing kept cutting out? Typical eh. Even Andy Dyson was fed up with it The mic is the devils work I tell ya

I don't think it has made much of a difference at all to all nighters. It's not as if you see people fighting, falling over or staggering around any more than you did before the bar was open all night. I'm sure they would have had the bar open all night back then if the licencing laws were the same as they are now.

Thanks guys. The girlie romantic in me really likes the Lorraine Chandler story Plus there is the connection with 'Tell Me Your Mine'. That said, you can hear there is a different vocal on TMYM when you compare it to the vocals on 'Easier Said Than Done'. Well, these ears can hear one anyway

Oh yes. And often. What I can never understand is when you are somewhere that's not very busy ie: no one dancing, and you ask for a request that you know they have and yet they still don't bloody play it! WTF that all about?

Yes it is Paul. It isn't a £200 record to you because you are selling one. You wouldn't pay £200 for it - let alone £500!

I must have seen a dozen issues for sale but only one demo, not for sale. Anyway, don't know about you but this thread is a prime example of why I would never post a want up on here Apologies Paul, this is my last post.
