  1. Not being funny, but that is the worst version imo. Her voices is like chalk on a blackboard. Or me singing. Truly awful
  2. I like it. That said, it is most definitely a case of the rarity of the record outweighing the condition. If it was a £100 tune that came up for sale every week, you would not entertain buying it in this condition. But like I said to Dylan, when do you think you will see another one come up for sale? Let alone a minter. It is all academic for me anyway, I can't even afford the £100 ones these days Sooo... anyone want to hazard a guess as to what it will go for? $2250.00 with two days to go? Looking like Russ wasn't far off with his offer! James T, are you not interested this time?
  3. Oh, and that lucky rogue John Weston recently got Soul Sam's copy.
  4. I absolutely love both sides. The Cameros and Sandy Golden go hand in hand for me. I can even remember Butch playing 'Lover Come Back' at an all dayer in Stoke about a million years ago. Might even have been at Bidds - years before the all nighters came about.
  5. I have heard records in a lot worse condition than this. Anyway, you hold out for a minter... you shouldn't have to wait long!
  6. I don't think it is as bad as the last one that was up for sale. Anyone remember how much that one went for?
  7. Absolutely Mrs. M. Dore without doubt!
  8. Thanks Nev
  9. I would be willing to pay that price too. Can't see anyone willing to let it go for that though. An awesome tune. Good luck!
  10. The 'sock treatment' Ted? I know I am going to regret asking
  11. Come on... who's going for it? https://cgi.ebay.com/Two-Plus-Two-on-Velgo-MEGA-RARE-northern-soul-45-HEAR_W0QQitemZ270487191024QQcategoryZ306QQcmdZViewItem Good on Russ for trying to get it for $2000
  12. Bernard Smith is such an incredible tune!! Wish I had one I do have a Bonnie Blanchard though
  13. This record makes everyone's life better just for hearing it. Come on people... give it a listen
  14. Hi Tony and Karla. Lovely to have you on here.
  15. Sorry Phil, but yes it was because it was me who was talking about it! Anyway, lets leave it there.
  16. You didn't say anything on the Burnley look back when we were all discussing Butch playing it. Where was your opinion then Phil?
  17. I love James Bell. Such a lovely man and so talented. Anyway, I think the sax break on Amazing love is unbelievable so I asked him who played it and he told me it is a guy called Clifford Palmer. I just thought I would share that with you and post the tune up again cos it is ace JAMES BELL - AMAZING LOVE - RO JAM with CLIFFORD PALMER on sax JAMES BELL -AMAZING LOVE-ROJAM -
  18. Stand down fella...£300 it is
  19. I have seen it go for a lot less than that Nev. That said, the price of records only seem to go one way when you post a want for them on here
  20. I'm not being funny Phil, but was that really necessary? I haven't seen you post your thoughts up on any of the other threads that have discussed this tune. Including, I might add, the Burnley allnighter lookback. Everybody knows that 'pants' is my favourite word, but even I would refrain from using it on a thread that isn't so much about the record but more about the story behind the group and how the recording came about. Not to mention the fact that one of the artists is on here. A bit disrespectful don't you think? As for the record itself, it is far from pants!
  21. If you click on sellers other items it is there. The book looks good though. But not at that price
  22. Hi Steve. We are extremely honoured to have you on here. I wish you could have been at Lifeline all nighter two weeks ago to see the dance floor rammed to 'Man of My Word'. A truly great tune!
  23. I am sorry? The posts on this thread have been constructive and very valid. Please show me where this thread has become a 'let's have a go scenario'. I wasn't there on the Friday night last year so I can't comment. If you read the thread through you will see that everyone agrees that the music in Carl and Maria's room was superb. But you could hardly hear the music because of the boom boom from the tent next door and the dance floor was truly awful. Will these issues be sorted out for next year? I take it you have something to do with organising Prestatyn? If so, any chance you can address some of the issues raised on this thread please? Many thanks.
  24. I wasn't happy so I stopped going. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love it to be like it used to be, as would a lot of other people it would seem. Just my point of view.....
  25. There is also the little matter of the DJ's and dancers that utilise the wedding suite Ted. What do you intend to do with them?
