  1. Made me laugh that did. It's not in pants category, far from it. Nowhere near as good as Combinations though.
  2. Can understand that to an extent pete but why not just post your list with prices and then lock it? All seems a bit strange to me so no thanks Edit: not to mention hassle? Having people pm you to ask the price, pming them back with the price, waiting for them to pm back with a yes or a no? I might be on my own here but that seems like a hard way to sell records. Good luck to the guy though, it is a hard thing to do letting your collection go.
  3. It's not an auction though. You pm him and he sends you the price. Why not just post the price in the first place? Seems a little odd to me.
  4. He says on his list to pm him and he will let you know the price. Why not just put the prices down in the first place?
  5. And prices. What's with not listing the prices?
  6. I had a look but couldn't answer question 9 so gave up My answer would be between the ages 14-40+. I am such a saddo! lol
  7. Great post Phil, in a nut shell as they say
  8. Funny enough I was talking to my favourite tall person about this just yesterday. The thing is, when money is no object to someone you can never win. They will chuck whatever it takes at it where as everyone else has to consider other stuff like paying bills. Real life will always come first to the likes of us and there lies the crux of the issue. So the answer to your question is, in all likelihood, a big fat no
  9. Absolutely ... not If I had money this is one record I would definitely go for. Awesome in every way, incredible drums, perfect!
  10. Can you see it on Ebay Mark? Any chance of posting a link please?
  11. Sounds like a record I received from Rob Smith - only mine was minus the bubble wrap
  12. The item on Ebay. I don't think that price is high at all!
  13. These days I am probably more likely to stay to the end if the night finishes at 6 am, lightweight that I am. That doesn't mean to say I won't still be there at kick out though. I think Friday nighters suffer more due to the fact that a lot of people work on Saturdays now.
  14. Good call getting the postman to witness opening it
  15. Yep Lonely Days is fantastic
  16. I actually had a record cleaner that was similar to wood glue, honest. You spread it on, let it dry and then it lifted off in one sheet with all the dirt and grime with it. Didn't work very well.

Was pmsl. Could see him out of the corner of my eye
  18. Haven't we done this thread a million times before? For the millionth time - Eddie Parker I'm gone
  19. Agree 100%. I am guilty of crying off early if it goes on until 8 but definitely inclined more to stay until the end if it finishes at 6.
  20. I have to say a lot of the time I am ready to head home around 5 or 6am. Nighters that go on until 8am are too much for me these days. 6am finish is just right.
  21. A night close to my heart starts at 8pm, has a 4am finish, a bar til 3am and £5 admission. We don't say we are a soulnight or a mini-nighter. I do agree with the point about not specifying an end time though. I automatically think it will be early rather than later.
  22. Can see your point Russ but it really doesn't bother me what people call their event, it's the music that matters. I think people say mini-nighter just to let people know that they finish later than a normal soulnight. My understanding is a 4am finish. I could be wrong but that's what I take it to be. Some of these mini-nighters offer the full 8 hours and that used to be what an allnighter gave you.
