I consider myself very tolerant with regards to stuff I don't like. It's no biggie at the end of the day and another DJ will be along in a minute, 60 at the most. I am one person in a venue and if the dance floor is full it's job done in my book

Mike asked if members would welcome longer sets by DJs. I can only answer for myself and did so. You seem to think I don't welcome hearing stuff I don't know when in fact you couldn't be further from the truth. That said, 2 hours of stuff you don't rate (whether you know them or not) is a bleeding long time. Good for you if that doesn't bother you but the reality is it could potentially bother others. Like I said, there is usually more than just one person in a venue and therein lies the (potential) problem that could arise with longer sets

Longer sets are all well and good if the DJ is playing what you like to hear. 15 minute sets seem like a lifetime if they're not. With an hour of stuff you don't like you can just about survive (there's not that much you can do to occupy yourself in the meantime after all, especially in one room venues). As always it comes down to personal taste and as there's more than just one person in a venue (hopefully) for me one hour sets are long enough. Anyway, since when has it been about whether the DJ can cut it for longer than an hour? Sometimes I think it should be whether us poor punters can

Can't believe there will be no more Amlwch. Had some absolutely fantastic nights here with the one in the video being right up there. As was the one where Keith Money won the foot spa in the raffle. Pmsl -

Tell me about it. Had another enquiry yesterday from a film company, not a small company by any means, but yet again they claim they don't have a pot to pee in. Makes me mad, especially when the fee we're talking about isn't even three figures sometimes. BBC are the worst

Watch this programme a lot and only registered once it started that this is the one that I did some research on for Ch5 last year. They weren't up for paying though, tight wads. All TV companies are the same, always on a really tight budget, bless
