  1. She is / was on the Detroit forum and a friend of mine told her that GTFAG was very well thought of over here. He told her that I would be playing it that night and she sent a message saying she wished she could be with us to hear it played! That was a few years ago now though so not sure if she is still active on there or not
  2. Not being funny and no disrespect to anyone whatever age they may be but no one gave a fig when we were the young uns! Did they care that we were the 'future'? Did they heck! I'm all for anyone getting into it but you can't make people love it can you? I think people have it easier than ever these days (not saying that's a bad thing, just saying that's all). When I started going to nighters the older ones went out of their way to make it as hard as possible. Wouldn't have had it any other way mind (what does that say about me?)
  3. Ermmm ... it was you who asked
  4. Sounds like Cilla Black
  5. I'd say it's pants but it's not even that good
  6. Don't fix it ffs. The fewer copies of this around the better Â
  7. Man oh Man for me without a shadow of a doubt!!! Don't like Tears at all if I'm honest, not pants but a million miles away from MoM
  8. No way? I love it!!
  9. Phew, was sweating there - still am if Dean's driving
  10. Anyone else having trouble with it cutting out? Missed Dean saying whether he was bringing Kitch to Grumpy and if we can expect him to arrive on Saturday
  11. We always had 2 x 30 minute sets at DDA, and it worked really well. Plus there was the added bonus that everyone got a decent time (which, in a night that ends at 1 or 2am isn't possible if everyone does 1 x 60 minute set) I personally don't see what the problem is - 30, 60, 90 minutes? If you struggle to do it then perhaps it isn't for you
  12. I was allowed to vote despite it being a little ahem one sided
  13. Wow! How could you not go to this? Disaster permitting will be there for sure!
  14. I have just bought from Blacka and while it did take a couple of calls to get hold of the lady in sales (my fault for ringing so late in the day) they couldn't have been more helpful
  15. We'll have to agree to disagree but agree
  16. Really? I think it has. Or do you mean in the mainstream sense? I agree about no particular DJ though but that's because a lot have it hence it being played by many Stunning record!
  17. First time I've been home from work in time to listen for ages
  18. Haha ... no
  19. Just Brothers - Go On and Laugh
  20. Is it not Colin Law? Looks like him to me
  21. Surely it would have been better to just put it on at the price she wanted in the first place rather than keep upping it every day? As for under the stairs for another 5 year? I doubt that somehow. If it doesn't go on Ebay it will probably be sold privately to one of the many who have emailed her. Good luck to her, can't say I blame her. Not that I could afford it but the collector in me can't help being a little p*ssed
  22. Was two thousand and something dollars, then four thousand and something and now $5000. Jeez!
  23. Was played last night at a local soul do and there were a couple of die hard souls giving it a good go. Always liked this myself. As already mentioned CODs - She's Fire (Combinations - piece of p*ss lol), Reggie Saddler Combo - Hear My Song (no chance) and Larry Wright - Sweet Sweet Kisses (although Jocko managed it from start to finish at the Wilton once)
  24. No disrespect but I think with it being such a tight deadline and no way of knowing how much is needed and no way of seeing if that target is reached will make people a little wary. Also what if the required amount isn't raised? What happens to all the money that is raised? A little more clarity would help maybe. Again, no disrespect
