  2. Same as a Vanguards Thoughts
  3. Going by Manships reckoning it goes for £1,000. I remember one going on ebay for something around the $1600 mark.. albeit a fair while ago. Personally... i think there are far better and far rarer records with a lot lower price tag. Not up on it's current worth... sure someone is though. PS: I think this is a thousand times better than 'Good Times Bad Times'.... and will only set you back around £20... how good is that This blokes voice is just incredible...!!
  4. Sorry Pete.. i know you're feelings... just brightening up an otherwise shit day... Always brings a smile to my face this one...
  5. Stick George Hobson in there Pete and it'd be awesome!
  6. paid £7 for mine... sold it ages ago... like a ninnie!!
  7. Don't hate me .... yes... would never part with it though. Just wanted to say what a top tune this is... shouldn't be too hard to get...hope you get one soon
  8. Mundi i think Baz... and TOP TUNE without doubt! My vote goes to Delegates of Soul - Keep running Back - Uplook .... makes me feel good every time i hear it... just brill
  9. Is that Mike Field? If it is ... was just talking about him yesterday!! He looked like Pete... dressed like Pete... danced like Pete... absolutely fantastic guy. Think about him often... anyone know what he's up to? Great guy... never forget one time he picked me, Pete and Edwin (from South Wales) up to take us to Scotland (i think). Pete insisted we pick up this hitchhiker.... awh... Pete was mental that day... spraying everyone in the car... fantastic!! Where's Edwin when you need him... he'll have a few tales to tell for sure!!
  10. You need spoiling Ken... and chocolate! I'm pretty sure you can post them fella.... unless that 'add CLIP' button means a quick slap round the side of the head! Now there's a thought... Mike....?
  11. My first proper northern allniter was also Peterborough... Fleet anniversary... i think it was 81...ish. Walked in a mod... staggered out a soulie... and damned for life
  12. Don't think so... well if it was they didn't do many cos i've never seen any... In fact i think i've only seen 2 or 3 come up for sale since i got mine well over 10 years ago. I will.. as always... bow to better knowledge... top tune whatever!
  13. WHAT A FANTASTIC RECORD!!! Play this out myself from time to time... should be played more... in fact... gonna give it a play Sunday night
  14. Used to spend a lot of weekends in Pete's company. He used to come over on the train Thursday maybe Friday.. leave something.. usually his tablets... on the train... do 2 nighters... an all dayer... about a dozen or so heads... and then get some poor unsuspecting soul to give him a lift home.... could be Monday.. possibly Tuesday.... usually it would be Wednesday or Thursday.. Never forget when he was living in Southport... Pete was convinced the reason he always felt shit on a Sunday night wasn't due the fact he'd just done 2 all nighters... an all dayer... a dozen or so heads... or that he hadn't had any tablets since Thursday... oooh no... Pete was convinced the fish he used to get from his local chip shop for his Sunday tea was off... Anyway... walking down Lord Street... a bloke walking the opposite way... on the opposite side of the street.... minding his own business... suddenly gets hit.. full in the face.. by an airborn fillet of cod in batter... & Pete's shouting across to him... "Oi mate... is that fish off or what?" I'm PMSL here... suppose you had to be there..!
  15. Braces... teeth missing..... four beats to the bar.... yep that's our Pete...
  16. Pete Lawson... without doubt... has to be one of the most amazing characters ever to grace the soul scene. No one could ever love soul more than Pete Lawson did... he loved it... lived it... and died with it... and i miss him every day. Now don't get me wrong... Pete Lawson was one hell of a pain in the arse... to everybody... but that was just Pete... and you had to love him for it... you had to... because he told you that you had to! He was outspoken... honest... loyal... fair... absolutely and completely bananas... manic... so unbelievably funny... loud... yet shy if you can understand that... a lost soul... obsessive... so intelligent... annoying... loving... and the most soulful person i have ever met. This is a great thread... even if you didn't know Pete... you will piss yourselves at the stories you'll hear about him. Here's the man himself.... TIP TOP!
  17. Bet you boys can't even remember what the thread was originally about....
  18. Whoa.. hold on a minute... that isn't Liam... maybe this should be moved to the conspiracy thread! The other one is though i'm sure... there was another clip... can't find it now... where you saw his face as he switched off the camera.... & that was DEFINITELY LIAM. Anyway... why not just ask him.... LIAM... IS THAT YOU OR NOT?
  19. The 45 was released on 'Sound of Soul'. There's also a version on the 'Free Angela Davis' LP
  20. Thought of this thread when i noticed this... look at his other items for sale.. always find it wierd when they have something big for sale... and then... nothing! Have just tried it... it takes a while... but it does open..... eventually Al Williams
  21. Good topic Chalky. Although i still do pick up flyers when i'm out... it's usually the ones that are made out of strong card that i favour... not to read what's on it... although i do... it's because they're better to fan yourself with! Have to say these days i tend to use the internet more to find out what's on.
  22. No.. you're not crackers... well not this time... just seems like an odd name... given the times and all... that's all fella!
