C L Blast 'What can I do'..United £20 Sheffield C L Blast 'What can I do'..United..damaged £20 read carefully and see photos. This 45 was M- until i dropped it. It chipped out 2 x pieces, but is not cracked.The larger piece nestles nicely into place and should tape in ok, the smaller piece is fiddly and does not extend into the playing grooves, so it should play fine with just the larger piece taped.It does, i tried it with sellotape but im hamfisted so i cant make a better repair, maybe you can.No guarantees or returns..but if someone can use it..great. will mail with 2 pieces carefully packed with the 45. £2.50 first

Yes!..the Wood sisters one was tall nickname 'Woody' her sister was tiny couldn't be more dissimilar. Yank was with Janice when i was with Marilyn, there were a few places around Mansfield (Persopolis?) and a few pubs that had northern nights. I worked at the Mansfield Shoe corp (briefly) and eventually moved to Sheffield.I originally had a white Ford Anglia which i hand painted the ISC black fist in a circle , on the drivers door which i once drove to Mansfield and it drew a few stares.Later i got a Triumph herald which Rob Wigley remembers seeing around Warsop.Dave Raistrick was going with Christine Easton ( who may have come from Forest town). Syd Booths was a bit of a meeting place, spent many an hour in there (looking for a copy of Joe Hicks).As i recall many of the Mansfield crowd packed Wigan in after the first year..i missed a couple of weeks during the summer of 74 and when i returned there was a massive sound being played..i asked Arnie what it was..'My hearts symphony' he replied before dashing off to the dance floor!...without doubt great times..part of the 'golden era'.. Wow, glad to see you're still on the scene and collecting 45s.. i bought 'Manifesto' from you in the Swan around mid 1974. I was going with a local girl Marilyn Dale(Warsop)later married Sid Hopper, who was working in Skegness (my hometown). Few weeks later at the Casino you came over and were apologetic that 'Manifesto' had been pressed. I wasn't that bothered, i'd had it for about 6-8 weeks and it was my top sound.I also remember you playing 'Hold back the night' in Mr M's... the Saturday nights in the Swan ( before the Casino) were rammed..and you had a great collection of sounds. I too remember Yank, Arnie, Pags, Janice and two sisters or twins who didnt look alike..and also the last night at the Cats in Wolverhampton..great days..maybe we'll bump into each other again..regards Elvis
